1 Failed to report SIM due to SVP power off

Phenomena A SIM not reported
Contents The micro-program modified so that the SIM will report after SVP reboot.
Conditions The problem occurs when the power of SVP is turned off while a SIM is being reported.
Category Open or mainframe
Changed SVP

2 Delay in SIM reporting

Phenomena SIM reporting was delayed due to falling into wait state.
Contents The micro-program has been modified to fix the problem.
Conditions The problem occurs when all the following conditions are met.
(1) Multiple SIM exist.
(2) While above SIM are created and reported (around two minutes), SIM Log Complete is
manually executed for one SIM.
(3) A reply from the message task of another incomplete SIM other than the one in (2) is
received.
Category Open or mainframe
Changed SVP

3 Decrease of Buffer to Buffer credit and high MP operation rate

Phenomena When CNP=1 command was received, the credit of Buffer to Buffer on DKC side decreased to
1 and MP operation rate exceeded 90%.
Contents The micro-program has been modified to fix the problem.
Conditions The problem may occur when all the following conditions are met.
Brocade Accelerator for FICON is used with Brocade DCX/Brocade 7500.
The parameter length of the first command is less than 128 bytes.
Category Mainframe
Changed HTP

4 Blockade of multiple CHP

Phenomena While True Copy was being used, multiple CHP were blocked.

5 Rejection of Flash Copy Withdraw command by applying APAR
Phenomena Phenomenon 1
Flash Copy relationship remains if the dataset deletion is executed for source volume or target
volume of Flash Copy relationship.

Phenomenon 2
SSB EC=0x9643 is logged in EREP and SVP when the operation as dataset deletion is executed
even if there is no Flash Copy relationship.
Contents When APAR of REMOTE PAIR FLASHCOPY (PRESERVE MIRROR) feature that is the new
feature of IBM Flash Copy and is not supported on Hitachi are applied, withdraw command
whose bit of parameter is set on though it is defined “Not used” currently is issued. Hitachi
storage checks this bit to prevent the malfunction, and rejects the command when this bit is on.
The micro-program has been modified to fix the problem.
Conditions Phenomenon 1:
The failure occurs when all the following conditions (A, B, C, D and E) are met.
A. It is a mainframe connection.
B. P.P. of Flash Copy V2 is installed.
C. Correspondence APAR (*) are applied.
D. The following micro versions:
RAID450: 21-10-08-00/00 or later
E. The dataset deletion is executed for Flash Copy relationship.
It is no problem for the command to operate Flash Copy relationship directly such as TSO.

Phenomenon 2
The failure occurs when all the following conditions (A, B, C, D and E) are met.
A. It is a mainframe connection.
B. P.P. of Flash Copy V2 is installed.
C. Correspondence APAR (*) are applied.
D. The following micro versions:
RAID450: 21-10-08-00/00 or later
E. The operation such as dataset deletion is executed

6 Failed operation of Re-sync/Suspend with group specified

Phenomena After performing PS ON for MCU while a TCA pair existed, Re-sync/Suspend with group
specified for the TCA pair failed.
Conditions The problem may occur when all the following conditions are met.
- R450 All current versions
- True Copy Async
- Open or S/390
- MCU is powered on while TCA pair(s) exist
- PS ON executed for MCU, a line fault between MCU/RCU. (Including PS OFF of RCU)
Category True Copy for Open or S/390.
