i. understand with little or no support the main ideas in a TV
talent show by completing 4 out of 6 introductions given.
ii. understand with little or no support specific information
details in the talent show by identifying at least 3 talents the
judges are talking to.

i. PRE-LESSON : Teacher shows pictures of different talents to pupils and poses
questions about them.
ii. LESSON : Teacher plays audio on a TV talent show.
DEVELOPMENT Pupils complete given introductions with information from the TV
talent show.
Teacher plays audio again.
Pupils identify which contestants the judges are referring to.
iii. POST-LESSON : Group work – pupils choose a talent from the previous activity and
re-enact them by dramatizing the talent.

sequencing the jumbled up steps.

Pupils sequence the steps of buying things from the vending
machine while listening to the audio again.
