Taper Pins:
Locks the disc and shaft securely in place and renders the shaft “blow out proof”.
Internal Over Travel Stop:
Welded into the valve body and designed to
keep the valve disc/shaft in the correct quadrant
to prevent over travel of the disc. The stop acts
as a “safety” to protect the seats.
Low Profile 316 SS Disc:
Allows for higher Cv capacity and lower
pressure loss.
Full-Faced Serrated Seat
Retainer:
Attaches to body with hex screws, for easy seat repair.
Viton Encapsulated RTFE Seat:
Viton energizes the RTFE to provide resilient “memory” seal.
Bottom Bearing:
Shaft bearings are corrosion resistant 316 stainless + PTFE liner. The bear-
ings will not distort under mechanical loading.
The second offset is between the center of the valve and the center of 1st Off-set
the stem. This offset allows the disc to swing free of the seat in the open Centerline
position. This procentric action reduces seat wear, and minimizes seating of Seat
The superior finish of the interior packing chamber and valve shaft assures
long service life. The smooth finish reduces friction and maintains a zero
leak, zero emission stem seal.
Constant 360° “even packing load” is exerted on the packing through the
adjustable two piece packing gland. Studs connected to the valve body
distribute the load evenly for ZERO stem leakage.
The energized Viton core seat is isolated and protected from media
contact by the Teflon encapsulation.
In the event of a fire, if the fire destroys any part of the RTFE encapsulated
seat, the inconel metal back up ring will stay in constant contact with the
disc to provide a metal to metal back up seal.
