    English for Academic and Professional Purposes (EAPP) is one of the

    contextualized subjects of the senior high curriculum. It aims to offer an overview of


    topics that is found within the field of discussion, applied within the professional and
    academic domains of the English language. I personally thought that this subject is
    very important to me, in a way that it is applicable on so many things such as
    business purposes, academic purposes and research purposes. This kind of mindset
    stayed on me because I know that I will be able to use and apply the subject’s lessons
    in the future. I expected the subject to teach lessons about the proper methods of
    writing academic papers and it would help me in my future endeavors and I feel that it
    will not fail to meet my expectations in a way that I learned a lot of lessons from my
    teacher because he would not hesitate to spare his time and try out certain methods
    in order for us to learn. In the end I learned a lot from this subject. I learned things
    like writing proper academic papers by citing sources, proper paraphrasing, following
    certain structures and many more. In my opinion, it can be said that that EAPP is
    important as a subject because it can be applicable in the future in a way that it gives
    you wider job opportunities, ease business relations and gives you future knowledge
    for your future studies.

    This subject can give you more job opportunities in the future in a way that
    jobs would require you to inquire them through letters in a professional manner. EAPP
    also uses the language of English. The English language is also known as the
    universal language, bridge language or the lingua franca of many nations. This means
    that you can easily inquire for jobs in other countries through the proper and
    professional use of the English language. You may also have a better chance in the
    future of being accepted by certain companies by applying the subject’s methods of
    sounding smarter and more professional.

    This subject is also important in a way that it eases business relations in a way
    that you eill use writing methods such as concept papers and project proposals. The
    said papers’ purposes are “to convince” which can help you convince other companies
    to support you in your project or to become a business partner.

    Lastly, the EAPP is important as a subject, in a way that it can help you in
    your future studies. An example of a situation where you can apply this is when you
    take your master’s degree, you are forced to make your academic paper, but luckily,
    your EAPP teacher would have already taught you the basics on the creation and
    structures of the academic paper. You can also use your knowledge on the subject to
    apply it for your future research or studies in a way that you will have stock
    knowledge on the types of academic paper and how to make them for your study.

    In conclusion, EAPP is important as a subject because it gives way to wider job


    opportunities, eases business relations and it can be used to give you future
    knowledge for your future studies. It can give you more job oppurtunities in a way that
    EAPP uses the English language and you must inquire them in a highly professional
    manner. This subject also eases business relations in a way that EAPP includes
    papers like concept papers and project proposals. Lastly, it is useful as a subject
    because it will be applicable for future studies, in a way that you can use this for your
    master’s degree and future research. In my opinion, these reasons are enough to make
    the EAPP subject important.
