1.1 Introduction Summary

The purpose of this document is to provide customers technical information in setting up

local atom. This includes the system requirements, third-party applications, and network/firewall
setup.

There are a lot of terms used frequently that warrant some form of a glossary.

4. Architecture 4

4.1 Diagram

4.2 Overview:

Atom will be installed on a server within clients network to access the target system
behind the firewall. The atom installer is approximately 5MB.

** Note: Atom installation needs to be done through webex with a Concur representative to ensure
the Atom is installed and associated to the clients account in our platform architecture. Atom will be
installed on a separate server

Download three (sapjco3.jar, sapjco3.dll, sapidoc3.jar) files from SAP marketplace.

Setup CLASSPATH variable for sapjco files.

Create a copy of iDoc (COSMAS, INTERNAL, PROJECT)

** Note: Concur representative will coordinate the copying the three sapjco files and creating a
CLASSPATH variable on the Atom server. Atom server will have its own copy of iDoc.

Enter SAP user credentials (communication SAP user type) in the Boomi Atomsphere to
be entered by the client.

** Note: Concur would need SAP user account with the proper authorization to transfer data to SAP.

**NOTE: sapjco files version (eg. 64-bit) should correspond to JRE version

**NOTE: The naming convention of the iDoc file names need to be begin with corresponding idoc name (in
Caps). For example: COSMAS date nnnn.

5.2 SAP REQUIREMENTS

Server: Host name or IP address of the SAP application server (ASHOST name)
including the SAP routing string, if applicable.

User: User name (SAP communication user type for Concur)

Password: Password (encrypted)

Language Code: Example EN (English), DE (German), IT (Italian), JA (Japanese)

Client Number: (Example 100)

6. Installation of Atom 7

Atom is a lightweight java application used when connectivity is required between a

cloud environment and traditional (non-public exposed) on-premise application such as SAP. It
also facilitates transactional processing and data transfer to Concur or ERP.

6.1 Installation Requirements:

Provision server to install Boomi Atom

Windows Server (2008 R2/2012; 32/64-bit)
Linux (32/64-bit)

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 6 or 7 (32/64-bit). JRE version 8 is currently

not supported.

**NOTE: The atom installation will self-download its JRE version that it uses

Create a CLASSPATH variable of sapjco files (this can be done during the installation
process)

6.2 Network/Firewall Settings:

Boomi Atom will run as a service. The communication protocols in effect are
HTTPS/SSL (Port 443)

Allow the following URLs from the firewall (outbound access)

FAQs

1. What is Atom?

A: Small Java application

2. Does the local server require inbound and outbound access within our companys
firewall?

A: No, only outbound access to https://platform.boomi.com and

https://www.concursolutions.com.

3. What is the protocol being used between the Atom server and SAP server?

A: Remote Function Call (RFC) to SAP BAPI

4. What is the file format of iDoc?

A: We will use the standard SAP iDoc format for COSMAS, INTERNAL,
PROJECT. They all use EDI.

5. Is our company required to purchase software?

A: No, all of the components required to run the Connector have already been
accounted for through your sales agreement with Concur.

6. Does the SAP connection communication with the Atom on the local Windows Server?

A: Yes, everything will run through the Local Atom. The Atom will receive a
copy of the process that is deployed, and executes within the clients server

7. Does the data reside on the middleware (Atom)?

A: No, the middleware acts as a conduit to pass data to Concur or ERP.
