The key takeaways are that resilient modulus tests were conducted on Wisconsin soils to develop correlations for mechanistic-empirical pavement design and a resilient modulus database. Repeatability studies were performed to ensure high quality test data.

Laboratory tests including repeated load triaxial tests were conducted to determine the resilient modulus and basic soil properties of Wisconsin fine-grained soils. This was done to develop input for mechanistic-empirical pavement design which requires resilient modulus values.

The objectives of developing resilient modulus correlations were to estimate resilient modulus values using basic soil properties for mechanistic-empirical pavement design level 2 inputs and to develop a resilient modulus database for level 3 inputs in the absence of soil testing.
