Gareth R. Brown Chief Executive Officer


Gareth holds an MBA from the Hull University Business School in the United Kingdom and is also a
Chartered Engineer and Chartered Manager. With over twenty years industry experience, Gareth has
had particular focus on IWPPs with key utilities such as District Cooling, Waste Water Treatment,
Waste to Energy and alternative power applications.

Gareth has been based in the Middle East since 1999 and prior to forming OAK held General
Management and Development positions with two global blue chip organizations.

Gareths experience in infrastructure projects within in the energy and water sectors have afforded
great experience in regulatory & licensing, commercial consulting and project development. He
has had accountability for public utility and independent service provider transactions in the areas
of electric utilities, thermal and renewable energy, as well as large independent district cooling
applications This experience has been further enhanced by M&A, privatization, project finance and
project feasibility work. In providing full turnkey integrated utility solutions,

Gareths leadership qualities have developed in leading technology providers on international


bidding processes for multilateral agency-funded projects as well as negotiating project contracts.
These contracts in the main have been for long term concession agreements both with governmental
bodies and private consortium led technology providers.

Derrick H. Rodney Chief Operating Officer


Derrick is a UK Graduate in Business and Financial studies with a Human Capital focus and has almost
25 years of Senior Corporate Operations experience, working for blue chip organizations serving clients
globally, throughout the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Derrick has been based in the Middle East for over 10 years and prior to joining OAK held a key role as a
founding member of a global Islamic Investment bank, headquartered in Bahrain. As part of Corporate
Service Operations he set up and led the strategic and operational development of the HR function.
During a five year tenure with the bank, he supported its strategic growth from inception, aligning and
reengineering key operational strategies. Great success was achieved in attracting and maintaining high
caliber investment professionals in the areas of Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Capital Markets, and
Asset Management.

As a Corporate Services professional, with a strategic and commercial focus, he has been very successful
in the set up and management of strategically aligned business functions, leading change across a diverse
group of professionals. His key competencies lay in strategy, leadership, relationship management,
influencing and communication skills, which will underpin his role as OAKs Chief Operating Officer.

Peter J. Barr Chief Development Officer


Peter holds an HND from Falkirk College of Technology in the United Kingdom and is also a member of
the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. With twenty seven years industry rotating equipment experience,
Peter has had particular focus on Key Markets and End User Clients in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Water
Treatment and General Industry across the Middle East Region.

Peter has been permanently based in the Middle East since 1995 and prior to forming OAK held Senior
Management and Development positions with three global blue chip organizations. Peters long term
experience in supplying long term Product and Service Solutions to Major End User Clients in the main
Energy and Utilities sectors has provided him with tremendous experience in dealing with commercial
legislation and business development opportunities.He has managed P&L accountability for EPC Projects
related to Electro-mechanical scope and Operational responsibility for the locally established service
facilities related to some of his previous positions.

His experience has been further enhanced by the added responsibility of managing the existing and
setting up new Representative, Strategic Partnerships and providing M&A recommendations to support the
business objectives, whilst maintaining growth and strategic targets.

Austin Rudman Advisor


Austin is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a
first class BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Management Information Systems.

Austin joined OAK as Chief Financial Officer, after a long and successful career in the Big 4 accounting
profession. He has almost 25 years of experience; spent the last 18 years of his career in the Middle
East and is a well known personality within the accountancy profession. Austin held several MENA
leadership roles at Ernst & Young; was an audit partner for 8 years and the regional head of Quality &
Risk Management.Austin has significant experience working with leading organizations in banking,
private-equity, and oil and gas sectors.

He formed and led Ernst & Youngs Middle East IFRS Desk and cross-border capital market transactions
team (IPOs and debt raising) based in Dubai. He also had oversight of service quality, technical and
regulatory compliance for over 2,000 MENA auditors in 15 MENA countries.Austin is a member of the
MENA Advisory Board of the ICAEW; Deputy Chairman of Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) and
Board Member of the Bahrain Advisory Council Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (UK).

Simon D. Bromyard Projects Director


Projects Director, non-metallic coatings application expert with experience gained in all aspects
of Project Management with particular focus on site management and construction activities,
Corporate and Management Reporting.

Simon is an apprenticeship-graduate engineer with international experience of overseeing


mobilization, schedules and most aspects of design, engineering and construction activities. Well
practiced at detailed liaison with Management, Contracts and Finance, Lead Engineers, construction
personnel and third party contractors, plus full exposure to the Client team on a regular basis.
Familiarity in a variety of industry sectors and previously involved in a wide range of activities on
multiple site locations mainly in the Steel and Oil & Gas industries. Simon is a project management
expert and has managed construction projects as the lead authority on assignments up to a value
of $1.0billion USD completed on time and under budget.

Simon manages OAK operations and leads multiple teams of project managers and engineers
that are seconded to the various worldwide projects that OAK engage on long term construction
mandates and / or call-off contracts.

David Pace Executive Director


Experienced finance executive with over 30 years international experience in banking, finance and
manufacturing. After graduating in economics from Southampton University, David undertook a
series of financial analysis roles in the UK manufacturing and product development divisions of Ford
Motor Company.

Following a stint in management and IT consultancy, David embarked upon a 17 year career
with HSBC in the City of London, progressing through a series of senior finance and executive
management roles at both divisional and head office level. In 2001, David was recruited to lead the
finance function of a major commercial bank in Kuwait where he played a key role in the business
transformation of the bank. He then became the Group Chief Financial Officer of an investment
bank headquartered in Bahrain.

During his 9 years in the GCC, David played a lead role in several debt and equity raising initiatives.
He also developed a reputation for introducing market-leading levels of risk management, investor
relations and reporting disclosure and transparency. Based in the UK, David brings a wealth of
international commercial experience to OAK, particularly as he has a great deal of experience
operating as an independent non-executive director.

Okan Erturhan Development Director


After graduating from the school of selected candidates for their learning ability, Okan
went to the United States with a full scholarship to continue his education in Finance and
Management at Florida State University. During his last year in the United States Okan worked
in an Investment Consultancy firm and further developed himself in the field of Project finance
and its management.

Upon returning to Turkey and completing his obligatory military service, after a brief analysis for a good
investment Market and his ability to learn quickly the industrial market due to his fondness of the sector,
Okan decided to lead a new enterprise in the sector of Waste Management and Marketing of recycling
goods. Together with the support of his Fathers family company this new enterprise consulted for the
public and private sector in waste management while bringing and advertising new recycled products
and new recycling technologies.

After entering a joint partnership OAK and Forming AWEC as project company, Okan left his other
responsibilities to fully focus on the completion and success of 1st Adana waste to energy project
and to the future of AWEC. Due to his past experiences in various work fields, Okan has a very good
knowledge and grasp on project financing and management. He also actively follows the developing
technologies in the recycling sectors in waste to energy, water treatment, plastic recycling and waste
management systems. Since he has been working mostly with local government Okan holds a really
good relationships, with various local governments. He is also experienced in project development and
consulting in waste management sector in Turkey.

Experienced finance expert with over fifteen years international experience in banking
and finance. Provides interpretations about auditing processes, business performance,

Bonika provides a key role in the organization as she helps to maintain the companys
