    The JFM multi-leaf fire damper


    is a high integrity fire damper for arduous locations including tunnel, marine
    and industrial applications. It has had a long record of performance and
    reliability over the past 30 years.

    The JFM fire damper is suitable for fire, isolating, balancing or smoke
    control/extract applications. Operation can be controlled either with
    pneumatic, electric or manual control components to meet specific
    customers requirements. The JFM has been fire tested at Warrington Fire
    Research Centre in the UK for both vertical and horizontal installations.
    It is also suitable for high temperature operation for smoke control and has
    been tested in accordance with the BS 476 Part 20 at temperatures up to 400
    degree Celsius for 2 hours with a variety of different pneumatic and electric
    actuators.

    The damper has low leakage rating for smoke isolation. The smoke leakage
    rate at 250 degree Celsius is equivalent to UL555S class 1 rating at pressures
    in excess of 3 kPa. The robust design has been tested at BSRIA in the UK to
    withstand a cyclic pressure of +/- 6 kPa for 8 million cycles to simulate the
    piston effect experienced in metro or high speed rail application.

    Achieved BS EN 1366 Part 2, 1999 for 1 hour
    Low leakage rate with option for high temperature seals meeting
    UL555S Class 1 leakage rate (40 l/s/m at 1.125 kPa) for smoke
    containment
    4 Hour fire integrity rated in accordance with BS 476 Part 20,
    for both vertical and horizontal installations
    Designed for 30 years service life
