The document discusses how Jesus Christ was rejected by many First Nations peoples due to the Canadian Residential School system. The Residential Schools aimed to culturally genocide First Nations peoples and forced them to conform to white religions like Christianity. Jesus would never ordain taking children from their families and communities to abandon their identity in religious and educational rituals. However, the document suggests it is now a time to heal and embrace spirituality and Jesus on one's own terms through spiritual awakening and finding Jesus as a savior, grief-bearer, and healer.
