innovative surgery

Sring innovative surgery

As one of the pioneering forces in ultrasonic technology, Sring has been supplying
the international market with innovative solutions in ultrasonic and high-frequency
surgery for over two decades. Sring not only leads the field in ultrasonic technology
but is also unique in providing solutions for contact-free cold plasma coagulation.
Srings success has been based on an uncompromising search for innovative
improvements, reliable product quality, proverbial German thoroughness and a flexible response to market needs through customized solutions. Innovative surgery for
you and your patients benefit.

Chronic as well as acute wounds may require wound debridement besides a therapy
for the underlying cause. The Ultrasonic Assisted Wound Treatment (UAW) with the
SONOCA-180 represents an innovative method of wound debridement compared to
conventional surgical debridement.
UAW is a non-invasive method using ultrasonic energy in combination with an
irrigation solution to clean and debride wounds. The physical effects are cavitation
and micro streaming generated by the ultrasonic vibration occurring at the tip of the
handpiece (Sonotrode).
Necrotic tissue, cell debris, exudates, and bacteria are flushed from the wound with
excellent preservation of healthy and granulation tissue.

Ultrasonic Assisted Wound Treatment can be applied on:

- locally infected wounds

- wounds with impaired circulation

- wounds with the need of debridement and irrigation, e.g.

~ Pressure ulcer

~ Diabetic foot ulcer

~ Arterial and venous ulcers

~ Posttraumatic wounds
~ Surgical wounds
~ Burn wounds

The SONOCA-180 is engineered for Ultrasonic Assisted Wound Treatment (UAW). The working frequency of 25 kHz is
generated in the control unit, then transmitted to the handpiece and converted to mechanical vibration.

The irrigation fluid (sterile saline) is required as a coupling medium to transmit the mechanical vibration to the
tissue and to rinse out the necrotic cell fragments and bacteria.

The handpiece has to be moved continuously and gently over the wound surface.
Different handpieces were developed to assure an optimized treatment result for all individual wound situations.
To reduce treatment costs, SONOCA-180 handpieces are designed to be autoclaved and therefore completely
reusable. The only needed disposables are sterile saline bags and a standard irrigation tube set.

The SONOCA-180 can be distinguished through a simplified and user-friendly handling, which makes routine
applications more efficient by saving time and reducing efforts.

The SONOCA-180 is microprocessor-controlled. Using the most reliable
microprocessor technology with self test routine and self monitoring functions

provides excellent performance and prevents malfunctions. Adjustments

and indications on the front panel are intuitive and ergonomically designed.
Handpieces are equipped with high efficient and long-lasting piezo-electric
elements which allow a wide power range.
