Year of Mercy
The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus and give us a model for how we should treat
all others, as if they were Christ in disguise. They "are
charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in their
bodily needs" (U.S. Catholic Catechism for Adults). They
respond to the basic needs of humanity as we journey
together through this life.
Feed the Hungry
There are many people in this world who go without
food. When so much of our food goes to waste, consider
how good stewardship practices of your own food habits
can benefit others who do not have those same resources.
Research, identify and contribute financially to organizations that serve the hungry.

Volunteers Needed
We are in need of ushers and greeters at all our
Masses. Please contact the rectory if you are interested in serving. All you need is a smile!
Recyclables
What are you doing with your plastic bottles and aluminum cans? The Youth Group has been collecting
them to help fund their Confirmation retreats and
their attendance at Steubenville. This is an ongoing
fundraiser and has helped send youth who would not
otherwise be able to attend to experience either of
these very important events.
You can help easily by dropping
off your plastic bottles and aluminum cans at the storage container
in the gravel parking lot. The
youth sort and bag the recyclables
each Sunday and an adult volunteer transports them to the recycling center. Thank your for your
continued support.
