Day 1: London Betws-y-Coed Swallow Falls Fairy

Glen
Betwsy-y-Coed
Betws-y-Coed is a gorgeous little village within Snowdonia National Park. The main village is
simply a main road with lots of little shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Id recommend parking
up and walking the length of the road. There are lots of outdoorsy shops and small boutiques
selling local crafts and paintings. If the weather is nice, find a pub with some outdoor seating and
enjoy a beer in the sunshine Stables Lodge is pretty good for cheap and cheerful meals and
drinks. Then get yourself an ice cream and head to the river where you can sit and watch the
water rushing by.

Swallow Falls

SWALLOW FALLS (RHAEADR EWYNNOL) This waterfall on the Afon Llugwy has become a
familiar natural celebrity over the past 100 years and has featured on film, postcard and
canvas. While its principal viewpoints are situated on the south bank of the Llugwy with
the convenience of ample parking along the A5 and within the hotel car park, it is
observed far more dramatically if approached on foot along the northern bank.

Walk to Fairy Glen (Optional)

Fairy Glen is a secluded gorge on the River Conwy and is located only a short distance from
Beaver bridge on the outskirts of the village of Betws y Coed. The picturesque gorge is a great
favourite with both photographers and artists. The River Conwy drops through a Victorian fish
ladder and is channeled through a narrow ravine forming rapids and cascades.

The thickly wooded gorge is a protected wildlife site and has a large population of rare ferns and
lichens. Flowering plants include globeflower and early purple orchid. Otters have been reported
to have been sighted at the spot.
Fairy Glen is reached via a path from the Fairy Glen Hotel beside the A470. A small entrance
charge is payable and a car park is provided.

Bounce Below Cavern Adventure
Bounce Below is the first facility of its kind in the world, located at the Zip World Titan site near
Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales.
Hidden underground in a 176-year old disused cavern, that is twice the size of St Pauls
Cathedral, you will find this subterranean playground, installed with huge bouncy nets!
These trampoline like nets are hung within two vast chambers at different levels, the highest
being 180 feet up from the bottom of the cavern, linked together by walkways and slides.
Bouncers need to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled booking time to allow enough time for
registration and kit up before taking the old mining train underground.
The train journey into the cavern takes approximately 5 minutes, where you disembark into the
belly of the cavern, nestled 100 feet below the surface of the Earth.
The walls of Bounce Below are covered with technicolored lights revealing the beauty of the
underground cavern and add to the already unique experience.
The activity lasts approximately 1 hour, where you are free to bounce, climb and slide.

The best thing is Bounce Below is open all year round!

To avoid disappointment please ensure to pre-book your experience - check availability and book
online here.
