Hermana Juanita, as everyone knew her, waa.79 years old^V For about a
month and a half she had very yellow eyes and then her skin turned yellow
also.
The church offered to pay for her medicine if she would go to see a
doctor.
The doctor would only charge her 3 pesos or 2^ cents because she was
very poor. And so she did go to see him and seemed to be helped by the medi
cine.
But awhile later she got a little worse and her son-in-law who lives
with her took her to a quack doctor who said her only problem was that she
wasn't eating.
We took food and drink to her but she steadily grew worse.
When we offered to pay for hospital expenses if we would be permitted to take
her to a hospital,
the son-in-law said he could take care of her himself.
And so she eventually passed away, without anyone really knowing what disease
she had although we suspected hepatitis.
The church members were very unwelcome

What is a Christian coffee house?" Well in our case it is a rented room about 17' square
with a table in one corner where the hot water and instant coffee are kept. The room is
painted dark blue and is lit by ultraviolet light. The light makes things flouress. The
walls have flourescent pictures of Jesus and Bible verses painted on them to help stimulate
conversation about the Lord. The music comes from either live groups or a tape recorder.

We obtained Mark*s Mexican birth certificate here in Queretaro v/hen he was two weeks old.
Then when he was 6 1/2 weeks old we went to the embassy in Mex

SWEET MOMENTS FOR MORE PEOPLE
The month of November brought growth to the radio program we produce, "Dulces Momentos,"
(Sweet Moments).
Four different people decided that they wanted to put the radio program
on in the city in which they live. And so we had several visitors who asked about the pro
gram and how it could be best used and adapted to fit in their situation.
Each area required a special announcement inviting the listeners to write in asking for a
free correspondence course or for more information about the Word of Life.

It was necessary to re
cord the special announcements and add them to the program, but it was time well spent be

We are told that through the
foolishness of preaching men will be saved and a radio program takes the Word into homes of
those who would never enter a church.
to record.
The probl^ ended when the Lord laid a burden on the hearts of Christian breth

They sent us 100 new tapes and almost as many boxes containing empty reels on which
to put tape. Believe me the boxes really suffer from being transported on buses here.
Another very important addition to the work sent by the same brethren was a bulk eraser
for tape. Every tape must be erased before being reused.
I used to spend about 2 minutes
on each tape to erase it.
Now it tcUces just 4 seconds and the tape remains in its* box
The tapes are laid on a conveyor belt which takes them across the magnetic field of the
eraser and then they fall off in a neat stack at the other end. This is a great time-saver
as you can imagine. We praise the Lord for meeting our every need.

what "Scmta" brought them.
They don't get ANYTHING for Christmas.. .BUT they DO ask each
other, "What did the kings bring you?" Parents amd friends buy gifts for the children, but
