On Monday, June 15th, the Gulf County Sheriffs Office (GCSO) received a complaint of a theft in
the 4900 block of County Road (CR) 318 in Dalkeith. Deputy D. Wiser responded to the
complaint to investigate. The complainant reported the theft of several items stolen from a
shed. The items included an angle grinder, electric pressure washer, chainsaw, and an
assortment of air conditioner repair parts. The theft is believed to have occurred several days
prior to the complaint.
On June 15th, Deputy M. Layfield arrested William H. McDaniel (55) in the 100 block of State
Road (SR) 22 in Wewahitchka. The GCSO received a complaint of a physical disturbance
regarding two men fighting. The victim in the case stated McDaniel pulled a knife and
threatened him. McDaniel was charged with Aggravated Assault. He was transported to the
Gulf County Detention Facility (GCDF).
On Tuesday, June 16th, Deputy M. Garrett conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 79 mph
in a posted 60 mph zone. The stop took place on U.S. Highway 98 near Windmark. Loose
marijuana and two burnt marijuana cigarettes were observed in plain view in the vehicle. After
a search of the vehicle, more marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Matthew P.
Williams (29) was arrested and charged with Possession of Less than Twenty Grams of
Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On June 16th, the GCSO received a call regarding the theft of a newspaper box from the 2100
block of U.S. Highway 98 in Highland View. Deputy D. Wiser responded to the complaint. The
theft occurred during the early morning hours of June 16th. The box, used to sell newspapers,
was valued at approximately $500.00, was painted blue, and belonged to the News Herald.
On June 16th, Sgt. R. Burkett arrested Steve D. Gibson (43) at the probation office in
Wewahitchka. Gibson had an active warrant for Violation of Probation in Bay County. He was
taken into custody and transported to the GCDF.

On June 16th, Deputy G. Skipper arrested Asia N. Whitley (22) at the Gulf County Courthouse.
Whitley was wanted for Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear. She was booked into the
GCDF.
On Thursday, June 18th, the GCSO received a complaint regarding a residential burglary in the
8500 block of West U.S. Highway 98 on St. Joe Beach. Deputy P. Beuligmann responded to
investigate the complaint. The complainant reported she discovered a window shattered in the
residence and found the television missing. The television was described as a 32 inch Panasonic
LCD TV. The scene was processed by the GCSO and physical evidence was collected.
Investigator L. Dickey continues to investigate the case.
On June 18th Deputy M. Ward arrested Cedrick M. Beachum (42) after he turned himself in at
the GCSO. Beachum was wanted for Violation of Community Control on his original charges of
two counts of Burglary of an Occupied Structure and Grand Theft. He was booked into the
GCDF.
On June 18th, Paul OHara, Jr. (29) was extradited from the Bay County Jail to Gulf County.
OHara was taken into custody and held on a warrant for Violation of Probation and Violation of
Community Control. OHara was on probation for his original charge of Driving While License
Suspended/Revoked (DWLS/R) and community control for two counts of Possession of Cocaine,
three counts of the Sale of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported
to the GCDF.
On June 18th, Deputy P. Beuligmann responded to the complaint of a theft involving an outboard
motor in the 2700 block of SR 30 in Simmons Bayou. The complainant reported the theft of a
black 7.5hp Mercury outboard motor and a black upright air compressor, along with deepwater
fishing rods. The case is still under investigation.
On June 18th, Lt. P. Beasley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Americus Avenue
and Atlantic Street in St. Joe Beach. The GCSO received information from a detective at the
Bainbridge Police Department in Georgia regarding a fugitive wanted by their agency. Kenneth
D. Regan (40) was located operating a vehicle which matched the description provided by the
detective. Regan was positively identified and when advised of the warrant for his arrest fled on
foot. Regan ran towards U.S. Highway 98, onto the beach and in the water. He was taken taken
into custody a short time later. A inventory of his vehicle revealed Regan was in possession of
marijuana. Regan was transported to the GCDF and charged with Fugitive from Justice,
Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer without Violence, and Possession of Less than Twenty
Grams of Marijuana. Regan was wanted for Violation of Probation.
On June 18th, Investigator J. Hanson arrested Warren L. Griffin (42) in the 400 block of 3rd Street
in Wewahitchka. Griffin was wanted for Violation of Probation on his original charges of the
Sale of Meth within 1,000 feet of a School or Park. Griffin was transported to the GCDF.

On June 18th Investigator J. Hanson and Deputy S. Ferrell arrested Lisa R. Jamerson (42) in the
600 block of Bryants Landing Road in Dalkeith. Jamerson was wanted on a capias for Failure to
Appear. She was transported to the GCDF.
On Friday, June 19th, the GCSO received three 911 calls regarding a reckless driver in the area of
U.S. Highway 98 traveling through Windmark Beach. Deputy P. Williams responded to the
complaint and observed the vehicle approaching him and veer off the roadway onto the
shoulder. The driver of the vehicle was slumped over and appeared to be unconscious. Deputy
Williams pulled behind the vehicle and activated his emergency lights. As he walked up to the
vehicle the driver, Randall M. McCranie (43), looked out the driver window and began to drive
off. After driving approximately 50 feet he stopped the vehicle. Deputy Williams developed
reason to believe McCranie was operating the vehicle under the influence. An investigation was
conducted, which resulted in his arrest for Driving Under the Influence and DWLS/R. McCranie
refused to submit to a test of his breath. He was transported to the GCDF.
On Saturday, June 20th, the GCSO received a report of a residential burglary in the 5400 block of
SR 30-E on Cape San Blas. Deputy D. Sanders responded to investigate the complaint. The
complainant reported discovering a door ajar to the residence and later broken window. A total
of four televisions were stolen from the residence. Two 32 Vizio televisions, a 42 Vizio
television and a 42 Panasonic television were taken during the offense. Investigator L. Dickey
continues to investigate.
On June 20th, the GCSO received a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of
East Creekview Drive in Stone Mill Creek. Deputy D. Wiser and Sgt. R. Burkett responded to the
call to investigate. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Byron B. Butler (34) for Domestic
Battery. Butler was transported to the GCDF.
On Sunday June 21st, Deputy P. Williams conducted a traffic stop in the area of SR 22 and Kemp
Cemetery Road. The vehicles speed was measured on radar at 85 mph in a posted 60 mph zone.
The driver, Gary L. Murphy, Jr. (34), was contacted and determined to be operating the vehicle
without a license. Murphy, a habitual traffic offender, was arrested and charged with Operating
a Vehicle without a Valid Drivers License. He was also issued a citation for unlawful speed.
Murphy was transported to the GCDF.
