The meaning
of illegal racing is riding a motorcycle over the speed limit was invariable by
government. They also ride motorcycle which can cause danger to their self and
other people on the road. They like to show many actions while they are on the road
because they want to prove everybody they are great. According to the statistical
report of the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) was released last year showed that there
were 456 arrests made in 2010 through 2,363 operations conducted throughout the
country in an effort to combat the crime of illegal racing. While this number is down
from 709 arrests and 6,700 operations in 2009 but it is still alarming and require
control measures more seriously. More worrying, from the records, racer 1,760
people aged 16 to 20 years, that group of school leavers or those novice on his
career, while 91 racer aged 15 years and above, and in 1044 racer was 21 to 25
years, and 88 racer was aged 26 to 30 years and 22 people aged over 31 years.
Through employment records, the 731 among those involved consist of individuals
not employed while 490 racer is a student, an illegal racer is 241 workers, 369 others
were working as laborers and self-employed, 225 200 were employed as mechanics
and dispatch. Police sources said the royal malaysia in 2008, the rules and the law
does not allow illegal racing activities carried out in this country because of the view
that these crimes lead to harm to the nation, society and the individual self. Thus,
illegal racing are harmful for the nation, society and also the individual self.
However, there are also those who take for easy on the issue of illegal racing
is more widespread. They assume that illegal racing is a crime that is easy and does
not agree that the law adopted by the government. Young people also protested the
laws and government regulations as they argue that illegal racing is a simple matter
to them and considers illegal racing can make their lives more enjoyable. However,
the government can not be blamed in this situation, because if the government did
not implement the law and regulations, the issue of illegal racing will be on the rise.
when many youths involved in illegal racing, this will increase the adverse impact to
the community and the nation. law enforcement and rules is also be continued by the
government in order to provide instruction to youth who have not been involved in
illegal racing. Youth will fear the laws and rule if they know that racer punished
according to the laws and rule. This proves that the government is determined to
curb the issue of illegal racing, as the government realized that this issue is bad for
all of the countries, communities and individuals.
And violent youth gangster. Illegal racing also cause youths and violent
gangster. This is because they are affected by the drug taken during illegal racing.
Youth involved in the symptoms of racers also shows the behavior of gangster to the
surrounding communities. The racers are more bravely when moving as a group, the
racers are behave rude to people, dare and behave like street gangster. In addition,
the racers also react violently to the police and the public. For example, in Bukit
Mertajam police station had been attacked by a group of racers because their activity
is blocked by the police. In Perak, a businessman, was beaten to death after who are
hit a member of their race on the road. Situation that exists is certainly a disservice to
all.
Overpass youth. Symptoms can also fix overpass youth. Activities will also fix
the lives of youths causing dropouts. This is because 80% of them are in a fix made
up of people who are unemployed and poorly educated. The effect of this group no
direction and goals in life. Youths fix also comprised students from schools, colleges
or universities. Fix the ongoing activities cause the racers will lose focus on their
studies. They are no longer thinking about education and this situation will end up
with a dropout and school failure. .
llegal racing also give a bad impact on the country. Illegal racing can lead to
loss of human capital in the country's leadership as a result of road accidents that
occur as a result of illegal racing activities. This in turn will result in malaysia country
can not compete with other countries that have a lot of human capital for developing
countries. for example, in 2008, the country recorded a traffic accident deaths are
rising and the young age of 20s. This shows that the youth are the most people
involved in illegal racing in Malaysia.
Illegal racing will give bad effect to youth. For example, they have risk to
death early and suffered disabilities . When look at the example, there is no doubt
because in newpaper and television also always mentioned about this cases. The
number of death because of accidents is increased every year. This cases occur in
urban and also in rural area. Other than that, they also will suffered disabilities and
will burden their family because they do not have ability to do anything like to eat and
take a bath But, some youth do not regret and still continued do their bad attitudes.
Drugs are the most efficient money maker because it is highest in demand.
The problem with drugs is they are one of the primary causes of violent crime in our
society. Users under the influence, commit violent crimes because of the effects of
the substance (Matthew ODeane, PhD, 2010). The fact that if you are old enough to
get a license, opens a flood gate of opportunity of minors to participate in these illegal
activities. Illegal street racers are known to vandalize public and private properties
(Kenneth J. Peak & Ronald W. Glensor, 2004). That kind of behavior leads local
businesses to close down and move their business to a safe area, which ultimately
affects the local economy, eventually affecting the countries economy.
Some racers dont really understand the danger of illegal street racing and the
impact of it to the local communities and their family. Interviews have been done with
street racers families and most wish illegal street racers would stop their illegal acts
and instead pursue safe and legal activities (Alba, personal communication, 2012).
Conclusionlya, based on these facts indicate that illegal racing a lot of impact
on individuals, society and the nation. The effect is highly harm negative impact on
the self, community, and country. Therefore, we should support the government to
curb the ongoing problem of illegal racing. One could argue that illegal street racing
is fun and full of adrenaline for the driver and possibly the passenger. According to
illegal street racers it is all about showing off your motorcycle and whose motorcycle
is the fastest. On a different perspective, illegal street racing is a portal to death and
problems with local authorities, addiction, and innocent bystanders. Police continue
to develop alternatives to maintain control and to predict where these illegal street
races take place. Although in todays present time, local authorities do not have the
proper solution or appropriate resources to control such criminal activities. As a
conclusion, youth must realized about the disadvantages of illegal racing. They also
must open their eyes before select somebody to being their friends. Not all friends
can lead us to be a good and useful person. By doing that, they can save their life
because life is only once. So, we must appreciate it.
