A. Subject Description:
This course focuses on the basic analysis tools and techniques for digital processing of signals and reasons why
digital signal processing is preferable to processing the signal directly in the analog domain.

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Define and understand the necessary terminology and by describing the important operations with digital signal
processing system.
2. Emphasize the important issues on the analysis and design of digital signal processing systems and computational
techniques.
3. Apply the principles learned in various allied disciplines.

E. Course Requirements
Requirements
There will be four periodic examinations and passing score during quizzes and examinations is 60 % equivalent
to 75
Students who miss an exam will be allowed to take a makeup term examination and that is only be given 5 days
after the original date of the term exam.
A. Grading System:
The Final Grade is computed as follows:
Final grade = (0.17*P1)+(0.17*P2)+(0.16*P3)+(0.50*FE)
The Periodic 1 Grade is computed as follows:
(0.6*Class standing) + (0.4*P1 exam)
Class standing = Quiz, Class Participation, Attendance
Passing score =60%
The Periodic 2 Grade is computed as follows:
(0.6*Class standing) + (0.4*P1 exam)
Class standing = Quiz, Class Participation, Attendance
Passing score =60%
