Direct Issuance of CPL
a) Requirements:-
1. Age not less than 18 years.
2. Medical fitness (Class I).
3. Security Clearance.
4. ATPL Theory examinations
5. Enroll with a certified flying school and undergo flying
training successful completion of ground school and flying
experience
6. Flying experience as C bellow.
7. English Language Proficiency. (Level 4 or higher)
8. Flying school recommendation for skill test
b) Supportive documents to be submitted:-
1. Duly completed Application for Issuance of CPL
(CAA/PL/I/03).
2. Duly completed Personnel Particulars form (CAA/PL/M/12)
3. Duly completed Application for Medical Examination
(CAA/PL/E/01)
4. Duly completed Application for ATPL Examination
5. Duly completed evaluation form for English Language
Proficiency check (CAA/PL/E/08)
6. Log Book certified by flying training organization together
with copies indicating total and recent flying experience.
7. Copy of NIC/Birth certificate.
8. Stamp Size 2 colour photos (2x2.5 cm)
9. Course completion certificate
10. Detailed breakdown of flying experience
11. Flying school recommendation letter/ instructor report or log
book copies for skill test
12. Skill test report and ATC observers report.

c) Flying experience:-
1. For Commercial Pilot Licence.
Total 200 hrs, or 150 hrs if completed during a
course of approved training
100 hrs as PIC or in the case of a course of
approved training, 70 hrs as PIC
Cross country 20 hrs as PIC
Instrument 10 hrs. (Maximum ground time 05 hrs)
Night flying 5 hrs as PIC. (If night rating is sought)
2. For Instrument training.
Cross country 50 hrs as PIC
Instrument 40 hrs
d) Procedure:-
1. Join a flying school & follow approved training program.
2. Once the course is completed submit course completion
certificate to sit for knowledge examination.
3. Submit Application for CPL issuance with supportive
documents (above (b), 1 to 10).
4. Obtain security clearance.
5. Obtain Class I Medical Certificate.
6. Appear for following examinations at CAA.
Knowledge exams (CAA/UK and Local).
English Language Proficiency check/Radio
Telephony
Skill test with appropriate type of Aircraft.
8. Obtain SPL. If you dont have valid SPL & see the procedure
for obtaining of SPL.
9. Complete recent flying & hand over instructor report or log
book copies. If you dont have recent flying experience.
10. Finally collect letter for flight test and complete it, Submit
Examiner report & ATC observers report.
