    The Michigan Department of Transportation announced various highway construction projects and lane closures scheduled to take place from October 10-13, 2014. Several major interstates in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and St. Clair counties, including I-96, I-275, I-75, I-94, and M-10, will have lanes closed at various times during the weekend for bridge work and road work. Local roads will also have lanes closed in Macomb and Wayne counties for utility work and road construction. All lane closures and detours are planned to minimize disruption, but some may be postponed due to weather.

    WEEKEND CONSTRUCTION 10/10/2014 - 10/13/14:
    The following weekend construction activities are scheduled, in addition to work already in place. As
    always, some work may be postponed due to weather or other circumstances. Please check
    Michigan.gov/drive for current construction and traffic information and follow MDOT on Twitter @
    MDOT_MetroDet.
    I-96:
    In Wayne County, east and west I-96 will have two left lanes closed between Farmington Road and US-24
    (Telegraph Road) for night work only from 7 pm Friday to 7 pm Saturday. And one lane closed for night
    work only from 7 pm Saturday until 5 am Monday morning.
    I-275:
    In Wayne County, north and south I-275 between Huron River Drive and South Huron will have one lane
    closed daily from 8 am Thursday to 6 pm Saturday for bridge work.
    In Wayne County, north and south I-275 between Sibley and Pennsylvania roads will have daily lane
    closures from 8 am Saturday to Mon 10/20/2014 for bridge work.
    I-75:
    In Wayne County, south I-75 near Goddard Road will have two lanes closed from 10 am to 8 pm Friday for
    road work.
    I-96/M-5:
    In Oakland County, the ramp from east I-96 to north M-5 will be closed from 7 am to 12 pm Saturday for
    sign installation.

    M-10:
    In Wayne County, north M-10 ramp to west I-94 will have intermittent closures from 7 am Saturday to 7
    pm Sunday for road work.
    In Wayne County, south M-10 from I-94 to I-75 will have two lanes closed from 9 pm Friday to 5 am
    Monday for road work.
    M-14:
    In Wayne County, west M-14 from I-275 to Sheldon Road will have two left lanes closed from 8 pm Friday
    to 11 am Saturday for road work.
    I-94:
    In Macomb County, east I-94 from 9 Mile to 10 Mile roads will have moving lane closures from 8 am to 3
    pm Saturday for maintenance work.
    In Wayne County, west I-94 ramp to south M-10 will be closed from 9 pm Friday to 5 am Monday for
    maintenance work.
    In Wayne County, west I-94 ramp to M-53 (Van Dyke) will have lane closures from 7 pm Saturday to 5 am
    Monday for road work.
    I-94: (Port Huron)
    In St. Clair County, east I-94 from the Business Loop/Gratiot Avenue to I-69 will be closed NIGHTLY for
    bridge beam replacement from 8 pm to 6 am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Detour is east
    Gratiot to Port Huron.
    In St. Clair, west I-94 closed at I-69 from 8 pm to 6 am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday for bridge
    work. Detour is west I-69 to Wadhams to east I-69 to west I-94.
    M-59:
    In Oakland County, east and west M-59 between US-24 (Telegraph) and M-1 (Woodward) will have single
    lane closure from 4 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday for road work.
    M-1: (Woodward Avenue)
    In Wayne County, M-1 (Woodward) will be closed between Elizabeth and Adams from 8 am to 12 pm
    Saturday for a walk.
    M-150: (Rochester Road)
    In Oakland County, north M-150 (Rochester Road) at M-59 will have single lane closures from 7 am
    Saturday to 5 am Monday for road work.

    M-19:
    In Macomb/St. Clair counties, north and south M-19 (Main St/Memphis Ridge Rd) between Weber and
    Bordman roads will be closed from 5 pm to 6 pm Friday for a parade.
    M-24: (Lapeer Road)
    In Oakland County, south M-24 (Lapeer Road) from Oakwood to Davis Lake Road will have the left lane
    closed from 7 am to 7 pm Saturday. And from Oakwood to Harriet Street will have left lane closed from 7
    am to 7 pm Sunday for construction.
    M-29:
    In St. Clair County, north and south M-29 from Palms to Nook Road will have single lane closures for daily
    work 7 am to 7 pm Saturday and Sunday.
    LOCAL:
    In Macomb County, east and west 12 Mile Road, near M-53 (Van Dyke) will be closed from 10 am to 8 pm
    Saturday for road work.
    In Macomb County, east and west Chicago Road, near M-53 (Van Dyke) will be closed from 4 am to 10 am
    Saturday for road work.
    In Wayne County, east and west Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road) between Plymouth and Newburgh roads will
    have single lane closures from 9 am Thursday to 3 pm Saturday for daily utility work.
    Monday:
    I-94: (Port Huron)
    In St. Clair County, east I-94 from the Business Loop/Gratiot Avenue to I-69 will be closed for bridge beam
    replacement from 8 pm Monday 10/13 to 6 am Tuesday. Detour is Gratiot to Port Huron.
    In St. Clair County, west I-94 at I-69 is closed for bridge work. Detour is west I-69 to Wadhams to east I-69
    to west I-94.
