    The Michigan Department of Transportation announced various road construction projects and closures scheduled to take place from July 25-28, 2014 and on Monday July 28 in southeast Michigan. Work includes bridge repairs, road resurfacing, and utility maintenance on highways including I-275, I-696, I-75, I-94, M-10, M-3, M-59, M-97, M-5, M-15, US-24, M-29 and I-69 Business Loop, requiring various temporary lane and ramp closures. Northbound M-53 between 18 1/2 Mile Road and M-59 will be fully closed from July 28 to August 29 for bridge repairs.

    WEEKEND CONSTRUCTION 07/25-07/28/14:


    The following weekend construction activities are scheduled, in addition to work already in place. As
    always, some work may be postponed due to weather or other circumstances. Please check
    Michigan.gov/drive for current construction and traffic information and follow MDOT on Twitter @
    MDOT_MetroDet.
    I-275/I-96:
    In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-275 ramps to eastbound I-96 will be closed from 4 a.m.
    Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday for bridge work.
    I-696:
    In Macomb County, eastbound I-696 from Ryan Road to I-94 will have moving lane closures from 8 a.m. to
    3 p.m. Saturday for lighting work.
    I-75:
    In Wayne County, southbound I-75 from Goddard Road to Sibley Road will have one lane closed from 9
    p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday for road work.
    In Wayne County, northbound M-85 (Fort Street) ramp to northbound I-75 near Schaefer Hwy will be
    closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for ramp work.
    I-94:
    In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-94 between I-96 to 8 Mile Road will have multiple lane
    closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for bridge inspections.


    M-10:
    In Wayne County, northbound M-10 (Lodge Fwy) from I-75 to I-94 will have two lanes closed from 9 p.m.
    Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.
    M-3: (Gratiot Avenue)
    In Macomb County, northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) from Church Street to Market/Dickinson Street will
    be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight Sunday for fireworks.
    M-59:
    In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound M-59 (Hall Road) between Hayes and Heydenreich roads
    will have two lanes closed from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for road work.
    M-97: (Groesbeck Hwy)
    In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-97 (Groesbeck Hwy) between 16 Mile Road and
    Patmore Drive will have multiple lane closures from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for road work.
    M-5:
    In Oakland County, southbound M-5 from Pontiac Trail to Maple Road will have a lane shift in effect from 6
    a.m Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday for road work.
    M-15:
    In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-15 between Waldon Road and US-24 (Dixie Hwy) will
    have one lane closed from 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday for road work.
    US-24:
    In Oakland County, southbound US-24 (Telegraph Road) south of West Long Lake Road will have
    intermittent lane closures from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday for utility work.
    In Oakland County, southbound US-24 (Telegraph Road) north of Franklin Farms Drive will have
    intermittent lane closures from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday for utility work.
    M-29:
    In St. Clair County, northbound and southbound M-29 (River Road) between Brown Street south to Clinton
    Avenue the road will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, 7/24 to 12 p.m. Monday, 7/28/2014, for boat races.
    I-69 BL:
    In St. Clair County, westbound I-69 Business Loop ramp to westbound I-94 will close from 8 p.m. Friday to 6
    a.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday for bridge work.

    MONDAY:
    M-53: (Van Dyke Avenue)
    In Macomb County, northbound M-53 will close between 18 Mile Road and M-59 from 8 a.m. Monday,
    7/28 to Friday, 8/29 for bridge repair. Detour is Mound Road.
    US-24: (Telegraph Road)
    In Oakland County, northbound and southbound US-24 (Telegraph Road) between Elizabeth Lake Road to
    US-24 (Dixie Hwy) will have a single lane closed from 9 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Friday for road work.
