Nevada State College EDEL 453 - Spring 2014 Karen Powell- Instructor page 4 1. Explain which field trip you are most excited about. I am most excited about the Discovery Childrens Museum! I went to the original Lied Discovery Museum on a field trip when I was in elementary school, and I have taken my own daughter there numerous times. I am excited to see what the new museum has to offer my students!! I always thought the Lied Discovery Museum was the most fascinating place as a child. I know my students will love it as much as I did.
2. What challenges did you run into during this assignment? During this assignment, I had challenges finding virtual field trips for the primary grades. There were so many suggested online, but after I navigated through most of them, I realized the content seemed more appropriate for older elementary students. I finally found two virtual field trips that I believe are appropriate for younger students, and I think students in grades K-2 will enjoy them!
