Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter February 25, 2014

Pastors Notes: If the past two days are evidence of the power of prayer and fasting, we are in for a tremendous moving of the power of God!!!!! Sunday nights service was an awesome move of God. Prayer was made for one of our members who was having a physical issue and the power of God moved into the House. People began to praythen praise went up..and the glory came down!!!! Then Monday night was a powerful night of intercessory prayer. I truly believe that we are at a defining moment in our church. We must not tire nor back off, but press on. We are now in our 3rd day of fasting. I just want to encourage you to hang in there and push through the desire of the flesh. Fasting is not easy but it is powerful and rewarding. We do believe in an after. There is something that comes after the fast is over and that is why we must push through. I have already hit the place where my mind was trying to alter the plan the Lord had given me for my fast. But I was able to push through and today, I have victory over the desire of my flesh. This same thing works with everyday temptation. We simply, allow the power of the Lord to win over the desire of our flesh. We cannot, we must not give in to temptation. Our victory comes through standing in the power of the Lord and His Spirit. You may not have signed up to go with us to the Rekindle Prayer Retreat, but wed like for you to join us in prayer wherever you may be. We begin a session on Friday night at 7:30 PM and will be praying at 8:30 and again at 9:30. Would you be willing to pray at home or in the car? There is power in numbers and I believe that if you will join with us, we can see heaven move on our lives and on our church. We also have sessions of prayer on Saturday at 10:00 and 2:00. Wed love for you to join with us at those times. Thank you! I wanted to thank those that joined with us in giving in the Great Commission Offering Sunday morning. I know that everyone has not yet given so the number I am about to give you is not the absolute total. But right now, we have $6,377.42. We also had close to $500 given to other missions causes. If you have not yet given your offering, please do so in the next week or so as we must begin to finalize the project plans for the April Missions trip to Honduras. Thank you for having a heart to carry out the Great Commission to the World!!! PLEASE DONT FORGET that Wednesday night, Pastor Shealy is doing a Bible Study entitled The Mysteries of the Kingdom. Last week we heard about the mystery of the church. I cant wait to hear the message for this week. Ill look forward to meeting with you in church Wednesday evening!

Hey guys! First let me say that I am very honored to be leading such a great group of Christian men. "Real Men" who love the outdoors but also who love the Lord. Men who hold each other accountable in love and genuine concern. You fellers are the best and I am proud to call you my brother. If you are not in Band Of Brothers, we invite you to meet with us on March 6th @ 6:30 in the mancave (located under the sanctuary). This is for all male Sunday School teachers, Choir members, Children's Church workers, van drivers, Elders, etc. This is a ministry for ALL men so come be a part of Band Of Brothers. I have had a couple of men in the last few weeks to ask if they could be a part of this ministry and the answer is YES!!! There is no sign up sheet or membership requirements. We want ALL men to be included. So if yall are waiting on a personal invitation.....Here it is!!! Also, I am asking each of you to make sure that we are following our leadership in fasting and prayer. We can see the results of our efforts already so let's make sure that we as "Real Men" take the lead in this effort; for our personal relationship with Jesus, spiritual leadership of our family, our church and our brothers.
