    What is BYMF?
    The Bill Young Memorial Foundation (BYMF) was founded in October 2007 in honor of Bill Young who lost his courageous battle against brain cancer in April of 2007. Bill was a Bayer Crop Science retiree and a forever Cross Lanes, WV resident. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend and will be forever missed. In 2008, Bills legacy was celebrated by family and friends in the first ever BYMF Golf Tournament. The inaugural event successfully raised over 9K dollars resulting in an endowment fund established with the Charleston Area Medical Center Foundation. Since its inception, the Bill Young Memorial fund has increased to over 65K dollars and provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families in need. Bill enjoyed spending time on the golf course so what better way to honor his memory and raise money for a great cause. Cancer effects the lives of so many every single day. Statistics show a decline every year in the number of deaths resulting from cancer ; however in 2012, 12 million people will be diagnosed with this grim disease. Join us hand-in-hand in the fight against cancer.!
