Ensure vessel projects are designed and built to agreed requirements on budget. Act as principal point of responsibility for all aspects of vessel construction and commissioning.

1. Construction of vessels on time and on budget


Ensure that achieving Vessel Zone Milestones is a predominant focus for all Projects Department members. Review weekly zone commitments to ensure that ongoing work is commensurate with planned milestone achievement. Ensure that the likelihood of any failures in milestone achievement planned or otherwise, are promptly communicated to all relevant Project Team Coordinators.

Project meets set Milestones

Minimise reworkd by encouraging good communication and coordination of activitites involving multi disciplines. Maximise productivity through morale boosting and the encrouagement of a strong work ethic. Monitor all work, continuously questioning proposed work through the Design phase, work underway and completed work against the requirements of the Specification and Contract. Monitor the performance of vessel supervision with regards to their implementation of the Fundamentals of Supervision and provide feedback to Department Manager and Foremen as required.
Meets all requirements on time and with the agreed specification

2. Implementation and maintenance of the Project Management Plan


Provide input to the high level planning process with regard to the definition of Zones and the development of the high level overview, design planning and production planning schedules.

Active in the initial and ongoing risk analysis and the development and maintenance of constraint management plans.

3. Establish and monitor labour and material budgets, liaise with the Finance Department and the Department Managers on cost issues.
Provide input during budget ratification process

Timely delivery or completion of projects undertaken

Ensure that all signifant rework is brought to the attention of the Production Departments and Management and are logged appropriately.

Quick response time to all services needed or requested

4. Implement and monitor all schedules, resource and materials procurement plans, and resolve any abnormalities with the Department Manager
Provide input during the high lvel planning process as to the timetable for schedule implementation and updating of the resource plan. and resource levels.

Primarily responsible for monitoring schedule performance On a weekly basis, the following will be observed: o P6 data performance trends for both schedule and cost performance will be reviewed at both vessel total and subsection level. Abnormalities are to be reported to the relevant Department Coordinators and Managers as required. o Actual vs. scheduled resources are to be compared weekly against the resource plan. Schedule performance is to be considered along with overtime requirements. Concerns regarding either deficient or excess resources are to be highlighted and reported to the relevant Department. o Review the schedule delivery dates of main equipment as detailed in the MEPS, with the aim of ensuring timely delivery of equipment. o Provide input regarding anaylsis of schedule and cost performandce indicators and resource levels.

5. Monitor housekeeping standards, compliance to PPE, safe behaviour and assign housekeeping responsibilities, to ensure a good safe working environment Primary responsiblie to ensure that all aspects regarding housekeeping responsiblites, comopliance to PPE and safety are complied with on the vessel and immediate surroundings.

6. Ensure a smooth interaction between all Departments and external contractors and resolve conflicts that may hinder scheduled progress
Primarily responsible to ensure smooth interaction on both an interdepartmental level and between departments and external contractors.

7. Collate, cost, action and approve all variations and any additional work requested by the Client
Provide the following inputs to the variation process:

variation will proceed and if so provide input as to those likely to be affected. o Review collated labour and material costs 8. Ensure the Clients Clas or Flag issues are attended to and resolved.
Provide input with regard to the resolution of Client, Class or Flag issues as follows:

o Monitor progress with regard to resolution of vessel issues ensuring that decision making and rectification is timely and cohesive with the schedule. o Assist when client issues require clarification as to whether or not they constitute agreed requirements. o In the latter stages of the project when the vessel issues list is used more as a client hit list, responsible for obtaining client sign offs. 9. Ensure that all the Pre-Commissioning Checklists, Commissioning Procedures and Inspection Checklists are issued and completed as appropriate by all Departments.

o Prepare and Monitor Commissiong Schedule o Ensure


that Pre-Commissioning Checklist, Commissioning Procedures and Inspection checklists are used as required and all records are maintained and available on demand.

o Liaise with the client when necessary to ensure that they are adequately informed and satisfied with the commissioning and inspection process. 10. Inspect and approve the vessel prior to launch and sea trials and coordinate all sea trial activities.
Develop and implement vessel launch plan Pre-launch checklist and launch plan.

Preparation of the vessel for launch in accordance with the Preparation of the vessel for sea trials in accordance with
the pre-trial checklist.

Co-authorisation of launch or vessel retrieval with


Production Department.

Coordination of retrieval process if required. Coordination of all remaining work conducted after launch. Maintain housekeeping of the vessel and immediate
surrounds and ensure protection of surfaces where required.

Monitor lines and fenders and ensure that the vessel is


correncly secured.

Monitor weather conditions and take necessary precautions

11. Approve the commisiong team for sea trials and delivery via heavy-lift ship or own power
Approval of the commissioning team for sea trials and delivery via heavy-lift ship or own power will be the shared responsibility between the Projects and Production Department.

12. Liaise with Marketing and PR for VIP trials, photo shoots and open days, etc.
Having agreed to the availability of the vessel for marketing purposes, is responsible to deliver the vessel in a fit state for the intended purpose, at the agreed time.

13. Monitor quality standards and give feedback to the concerned Department Managers.
Responsible for continuously questioning the following:

o In every instance is there an agreed standard and has this been effectively communicated to the workers doing the job? o Are the requirements consistent with the Specifcation and Contract? o Are we overachieving or under achieving against the requirements? 14. Monitor weight abuse on vessels and ensure records are collated as detailed in the PMP
Ensure that all equipment installed on the vessel has had its calculated or measure weight supplied to the Project Architect. the vessel Coordinators and Supervisors.

Motivating and developing the Financial Accounting Team ensuring month-end accounting, Intercompany reconciliation, year-end audit and tax compliance requirements are met; Managing Hedging, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions of the company Implementing Corporate accounting systems and processes to ensure compliance and adequate internal controls are maintained in all transactions; Driving accounting best practice, team performance and efficiencies to support the business to achieve strategic commercial objectives

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy CPA, preferably with Masters Degree
