Abstract
Vertical roller mill (grinding mill) is a kind of crushing equipment featuring high-efficient and energy-saving. And Vertical roller mill(grinding mill) have integrated the crushing and grading into a single whole , which have satisfied the various requirements of the customers and materials. And at the same time, which have been categorized as the new & high energysaving products in the eight fifth period by the national cement development center.
Introduction:
Vertical mill is one advanced mill, adopting top technology domestic and abroad, and based on many years mill experiences. It can crush, dry, grind, and classify the materials. Vertical milling machine can be widely used in such industries as cement, power, metallurgy, chemical industry, non-metallic mineral. It is used to grind granular and powdered materials into powder with required fineness.
Working Principle of vertical roller mill

During the operation, the motor will drive the plate to rotate by the reducer and then the materials will fall down on the central place of the plate from the inlet by the air-locking feeder .While at the same time ,the hot air will enter the grinder from the air inlet. With the rotation of the plate, the materials will move to the edge of the plate by the centrifugal force and the materials will received the pressure from the roller and be crushed when it passes the circle ring sink on the plate. The crushed materials will be brought away by the high speed air and the big size will fall down on the plate and be reground. And the coarse powder will fall down from the cone hopper and then repeat this kind of process when a material in the air stream passes the upper separator by the effect of the rotors. And during the process ,the fine powder will flow out with the air stream .By the dust catcher ,the final products will be collected .The materials with moisture will be dry when it contact with the hot air stream. By adjusting the temperature of the hot air, we can satisfy materials with various moisture degrees, thus achieving the required products moisture. By the separator, we can also achieve the required coarse and fine degree of the products. In the inner face of the vertical roller mill, the high-pressure spring with more than 1000-1500 kilograms pressure have been fastened on the roller hangers. And during the operation, the grinding roller will rotate with the main axis and rotate next to the grinding ring under the high-pressure spring and eccentric force. And the pressure is higher 1.2 times over than the Raymond mill under the same dynamic conditions so that the production have been greatly improved .And when the grinding materials enter the cavity, the shovel will transmit them in to the space between the roller and rings to receive the grinding .And after the grinding ,the powder will be brought to the analyzer along with the circular airway of the air blower .And the standard fine powder will enter the cyclone classifier with the airstream to become the final products .While the large particle size materials will fall down to receive the regrinding .And then the circular wind will return to the blower to repeat the above process and then the after wind will enter the bag dust-catcher to receive the purifying .And when the roller and the ring have received certain grinding degree ,we can adjust the length of the high-pressure spring to maintain the stable grinding pressure between the roller and ring ,which can ensure the stable production.
Vertical Roller Mill (theory)

Detailed description of the equipment:

The motor dives the grinding table to turn through the speed reducer. At the same time, hot air comes into the roller mill from the air inlet. The materials fall down the center of grinding table from the feeder. Because of the centrifugal force, the materials move to the edge of grinding table from the center. The materials are crushed by the grinding roller when they passes the groove on the grinding table. The crusher materials continue to move to the edge of the grinding table until they are taken away by the airstream. Then the bigger materials fall down the grinding table and the process of crushing continues. When the materials in the airstream pass the separator on the top of the mill, the materials fall down the grinding table from the taper filler under the force of guide leaf blade. The fine powder comes out with the airstream, and is gathered by the dust catcher of the system. The powder gathered is the final product of roller mill. In the process of the contact of airstream, the materials are dried to meet the clients need at th e proper moisture. Through the adjustment of the angle between the separator and the leaf of winds direction (not suitable to the small type of vertical mill), and also the speed of the separator rotor, it can reach the proper fineness of the materials.

It should be noted that grinding media make up around 40% of the weight of equipment procured and erected for the ball mill system, which explains why the unit cost for equipment and erection is significantly higher for the vertical roller mill system than for the ball mill system. Specific price for civil works:
Since erection prices and price for civil work show large regional variations it is not possible to make a globally applicable comparison of total prices. However, to give an example of the relative total prices below has been prepared on a basis of European prices for equipment, erection as well as civil works.
