INTRODUCTION
Cosmo Ferrites Limited, one of the leading manufacturer and exporter of soft ferrites,
was established in 1986 with its state of art manufacturing facility in the foothills of
Himalaya.
Since Inception Cosmo has maintained product and quality leadership in both the
domestic and export segments. With a belief of constant growth and innovations, we
upgraded our production capacity from 500 MT to 2400 MT over a period of time and
consequently are ranked #1 in India in terms of capacity.
Our focus on quality, productivity and environment made us eligible for ISO certifications
and today we enjoy accredition for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & IATF 16949. All
our input raw materials and manufactured soft ferrites materials comply with RoHS
norms as per EU standards and epoxy coating material is UL94 V-0 approved.
State of the art equipments from leading manufacturers of Europe, rigorous quality
standards and well equipped in-house R&D set up, ensures delivery of high quality
ferrites to our customers along with continuous product up-gradation. We place
overriding value on developing close and long lasting relationships with our customers.
Wealth of experience, technical capabilities and resources to support the design and
development activities enable us to deliver customized ferrites on time.
PARTS MANUFACTURED BY COSMO FERRITE
LIMITED
Electrical core - Ferrite cores are magnetic cores made of ferrites, which are polycrystalline oxides manufactured by
ceramic technology belonging to a class of materials that exhibit the technically applicable property of ferromagnetism. In a
ferromagnetic material, magnetism occurs under an externally applied field. On removals of this field, the material returns to
its non-magnetic state. This behaviour is termed as magnetically "soft".

The general composition of these soft ferrites is MeFe2O4, where Me represents one or several of the divalent transition
metals such as Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe) or Magnesium (Mg), the most popular being
Manganese-Zinc (Mn-Zn) and Nickel-Zinc (Ni-Zn) ferrites. These compounds exhibit good magnetic properties below a
certain temperature called the Curie Temp (Tc). These materials can be used up to very high frequencies without laminating.
Ni-Zn ferrites have a very high receptivity and are most suitable for frequencies over 1 MHz however Mn-Zn ferrites exhibit
higher permeability and saturation induction levels and are ideal up to 3 MHz.

These ceramic compounds are pressed & extruded in various shapes as ferrite cores. We are a leading manufacturer of ferrite
cores and offer a wide range of soft ferrite products, including E cores, POT cores, U cores, PM cores, Planar cores & Toroidal
cores. All our ferrite cores follow a rigid quality assurance system and are tested in accordance with IEC 410/IEC 414
sampling plan to ensure an acceptable Average Quality Level (AQL) for major and minor defects.

HYDRAULIC MACHINE

•A hydraulic press works on the principle of

Pascal's law, which states that when pressure
is applied to a confined fluid, the pressure
change occurs throughout the entire fluid.
Within the hydraulic press, there is a piston
that works as a pump, that provides a modest
mechanical force to a small area of the
sample
MAIN COMPONENTS OF HYDRAULIC
MACHINE

• BASE FRAME :- is the foundation of the machine providing the support and stability for
structure.
• PLATEN.:- It is a horizontal or vertical plate that move up and down using hydraulic
cylinder to apply pressure to the workpiece .
• RAM:- The ram is a piston or rod that moves up and down with in the hydraulic cylinder
to generate pressure.
• HYDRAULIC CYLINDER :- It provides the motive power for the machine using
compressed hydraulic fliud to transmit force .
• CONTROL SYSTEM:- The control system consist of valve , sensor and electronic
controls that regulates the movement of the platen and ram.
ROTARY PRESS MACHINE

• A rotary tablet press machine is one of the most popular types of tablet
compression machines.
• Normally, we use this machine for high production of tablets such as
pharmaceutical industries.
• Even though there are different series of tableting machines, the working
principle remains the same.
• In this article, I am going to focus on the working principle of the rotary
tablet press machine.
• However, even before I do that, it is important to know the various parts
of tablet presses.
GRINDING MACHINE

• The grinding machine serves multiple purposes, including the initial shaping and final
refinement of flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces. It also excels at finishing internal
cylinders or bores and crafting and honing cutting tools. The procedure eliminates
rough projections from castings and stampings and also serves to clean, polish, and
buff smooth surfaces. While it was originally designed primarily as a finishing
technique, contemporary production-grade grinding machines now often handle both
roughing and finishing tasks.
BENCH GRINDER

• Bench grinder has wheels that you can use for

grinding, sharpening tools, or shaping some objects.
Depending on the types and shape of the wheel, the
use of a bench grinder can vary. From delicate to
coarse tasks like shaping metal or even peeling
potatoes, a bench grinder can be used in different ways
FOUR STATION GRINDING MACHINE

A four-station grinding machine, also known as a four-

way grinder or a multi-spindle grinder, is a type of CNC
grinding machine that uses four grinding wheels to
perform different grinding operations on a single part.
Here's a brief overview of the machine and its
capabilities:

Design and Functionality:

A four-station grinding machine typically consists of a

rectangular bed with four separate grinding stations,
each equipped with a grinding wheel and a precision
spindle. The machine is designed to perform various
grinding operations, such as cylindrical grinding, internal
grinding, face grinding, and centerless grinding.
Station 1: Rough Grinding
The first station is used for rough grinding, which involves
removing excess material from the part to achieve the desired
shape and size. This station typically uses a coarse grinding
wheel or a diamond wheel to remove material quickly and
efficiently.
Station 2: Deburring
The second station is used for deburring, which involves
removing burrs and other unwanted material from the part. This
station typically uses a deburring wheel or a special deburring
tool to remove the burrs and ensure the part is smooth and free
of defects.
Station 3: Precision Grinding

The third station is used for precision grinding, which involves refining
the shape and size of the part to achieve high accuracy and precision.
This station typically uses a fine-grained grinding wheel or a CBN
(Cubic Boron Nitride) wheel to achieve high surface finishes.

Station 4: Polishing

The fourth station is used for polishing, which involves removing any
scratches or imperfections from the surface of the part to achieve a
high-quality finish. This station typically uses a polishing wheel or a felt
wheel with a polishing compound to achieve a high-gloss finish.
KILN FURNANCE

1.Conveyor system: A continuous belt or chain

that transports the material through the furnace.
Tunnel Kiln Design:
A tunnel kiln is a type of kiln furnace that
consists of a long, rectangular chamber with a
continuous conveyor system. The kiln is
designed to move the material through the
furnace in a continuous process, allowing for
The basic components of a tunnel kiln include:

1.Furnace chamber: The main heating chamber where the

material is heated.
2.Conveyor system: A continuous belt or chain that transports
the material through the furnace.
3.Insulation: Thermal insulation is used to minimize heat loss and
maintain a consistent temperature.
4.Heating elements: Electrical resistance heaters, gas burners,
or other heat sources are used to heat the material.
5.Temperature control: Temperature control systems are used to
maintain a consistent temperature throughout the furnace.
