Selective Call Originating (SCO)

1 Denition
With the feature Selective Call Originating (SCO), calls to defined directory numbers can be specifically prevented or permitted. The subscriber can define up to 50 directory numbers. It is also possible to specify partial directory numbers. The relevant directory numbers are stored in subscriber-specific screening lists: in a white list for calls that are permitted, and in a black list for calls that are not permitted. A subscriber can have both screening lists, but only one can be active at any one time.

2 Mode of operation
When the feature Selective Call Originating (SCO) is activated and the subscriber wants to make a call, the dialed directory number is first checked against the entries in the active screening list. The result of the check depends on the type of screening list: Black list calls to directory numbers in the screening list are rejected calls to other directory numbers are possible White list calls to directory numbers in the screening list are possible calls to other directory numbers are rejected If a call is rejected, the calling subscriber is connected to an announcement. Screening list The feature allows a screening list with up to 50 entries to be assigned to a subscriber. The range of entries in the list can begin with 0 or 1, depending on a network node parameter. Steps of 5 or 10 entries are used. Subscribers can administer entries in screening lists themselves. Partial directory numbers can be specified in screening lists. Directory number list entries from the same local network node can be specified with or without the local area code. If the local area code is not included in an entry, the home local area code is automatically prefixed to the subscribers directory number. The digit 0 as a list entry causes rejection or acceptance of all calls (as specified) to an external network node. Capacity The percentages indicate the number of authorized subscribers for the feature within the network node and their simultaneous application. 3 Subscriber controlled input

The feature can be administrated by subscriber controlled input. For the subscriber procedures, see: Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber GeoCENTREX Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber Subscriber controlled input functions Signaling method Analog Pulse Activate Deactivate Enter data Delete data Enter data and activate Delete data and deactivate Activate with/without data Feature use Status request Data request Status request with/without data Access code The access code for subscriber controlled input consists of a maximum of 6 characters or, for GeoCENTREX subscribers, a maximum of 5 characters. It can be formed from the symbols 5 , # and the service code (SC) with the digits 0 to 9. The operator can specify the character strings for the access code. Differences by pulse dialing The selected digits are not obligatory; other digits can be input (depending on the existing numbering plan). 1111 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 1112 at the beginning of an input in place of # 1113 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 # 5 as a disconnecting signal after the service code, not relevant # after the subscriber controlled input, not relevant X X X X --X ----X X X DTMF X X X X --X ----X X X ISDN Keypad X X X X --X ----X X X Funct. -----------------------
