Report card distribution Schools will distribute report cards following the end of the grading term. Nine-week terms end Oct. 10, Dec. 21, March 8 and May 17. All schools except Maryville are on a nine-week grading period. Maryville is on a six-week term that ends Sept. 18, Nov. 2, Dec. 21, Feb. 15, March 29 and May 17. The grading terms do not include holidays and professionaldevelopment days when calculating the number of days taught. The first semester ends Dec. 21. Each school sets up its own schedule of parent-teacher conferences.

Meals
Child care for children ages 5-14 before and after school and during fall, winter and spring breaks, snow days, professional-leave days and summer requires tuition. After-school care also is available on the early release days that the school district has once a month. Before- and after-school care will be provided at Cedar Grove for Lebanon Junction students. Transportation will be provided to and from the YMCA program at Cedar Grove. Fees vary. Scheduling options are available. The program is co-sponsored by the YMCA of Greater Louisville/Bullitt County Family Branch and the Bullitt County Public Schools. Info: 543-3985; 955-6433.
Bullitt County Public Schools and the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative offer early childhood programs for ages 3 and 4. The OVEC Head Start program is for children who will be age 3 before Oct. 1 and who meet eligibility guidelines based on family income or special need. Head Start classes will start Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. until noon Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Head Start sites are at Cedar Grove, Brooks (full-day, year-round), Maryville and Old Mill elementary schools (half-day in morning while school is in session). Brooks operates the Early Head Start program for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years. Students attend the Head Start center in the area where they live. Transportation is provided to the half-day programs. Head Start registration: Mary Ferguson at 538-3113 (East-Old Mill) and 955-6532 (Maryville) or Gabriella Greenwell (Brooks) at 955-4831 and 543-4047 (Cedar Grove). Linda Rayhill, family advocate for Brooks Early Head Start Program, may be reached at 955-4831. The Kentucky Education Reform Act Preschool Program is for children who will be age 4 on or before Oct. 1 and who meet state income eligibility guidelines or have a need for special education services. Classes start Aug. 20 and meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at all elementary schools. Preschool classes at Nichols Elementary School will be a morning only session. All other elementary schools will offer preschool classes in the morning and afternoon. Students must attend the school in the area where they reside. Transportation is provided.
