As Per The MSW Curriculum And Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi The Students Are Assigned Two Months Block Placement Training At The End Of The Course Others Than 8 Weeks Field Work In Different Settings In Each Semesters. The Final Semester MSW Students Mr. Manish Specializing In Industrial Relation And Human Resource Management Opted Personnel Department, Coach Rehab Elation Work Shop At Nishatpura, Bhopal, Mp. CRWS Main Branch Is In Jabalpur, Mp. This Plant Is SET-up To Renewhavate Old Retired Coaches Of Indian Railway. They Rehab The Coaches To Exceed There Life. As I Am The First Student Who Having Training. In IR HR In CRWS History. By The Positive Feedbacks On The Facilities, Programmes And Staff It Helped Rendered To The Trainee During Their Field Work.
Here are some goals of internship for that peruse an internee do internship in any organization which can guide the internship program;
1. An internship provides meaningful work experience, which supplements and modifies ideas gained from academic courses. 2. An internship enhances the student's subsequent academic work. 3. An internship offers the student an opportunity to assess his/her abilities and interests in Marketing, thus assisting the student intern in choosing a specific career. 4. An internship provides an inside exposure to the structure, operations, and decision Processes within an organization without a commitment to a permanent employer. 5. An internship places the student in a favorable position for permanent employment. 6. An internship will develop skills in the application of theory to practical work situations. 7. Organizational psychology is focused on group-type settings, most commonly offices and Workplace psychology. This section of psychology takes theories, research, and intervention and Communication strategies and applies them to groups in both work and non-work settings. People In this field focus on helping people understand their interactions with one another so that everyone can work together to accomplish important tasks. As internee I have done my internship in an organization (CRWS). In which I have learn that an internship is an agreement between internee and a company or organization for a fixed period of time, such as a semester. STRUCTURE OF INDUSTRY:
Coach Rehabilitation Workshop is located at Nishatpura area, in the city of lakes Bhopal, which is the political capital of the State of Madhya Pradesh. The workshop is situated at a distance of 2 Km from the Bhopal Railway station. The Workshop was started in year 1989 at a project cost of approx Rs.64.97 Cr for Mid Life Rehabilitation (MLR) of Indian Railway Coaches. It has completed more than 20 years of service to the Nation. CRWS has so far turned out 6905 coaches including 420 AC coaches. During the year 2010-11 it has achieved best ever production of 571 coaches. During MLR entire coach furnishing is stripped off and renovated. The bogie assembly and sub-assemblies are repaired or reclaimed or replaced as the case may be, based on the service & utility factor. Overhauling activities includes heavy corrosion repair to the shell body and under frame, renewal/repair on account of furnishing, train lighting &
painting. This activity results in savings in repair cost in subsequent years of service of coaches apart from providing improved customer satisfaction for passengers. The quality of coaches coming out of CRWS has had excellent reputation over the years and now it is being treated as benchmark for all other workshops planning overhaul activity. CRWS's quality, environment and occupational health & safety management systems continue to be certified to ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18000. The workshop layout is based on U-flow with majority movement being on dummy bogies on merry go round system. All coaches being turned out are converted to Bogie Mounted Air Brake System. All furnishings have been upgraded to latest RDSO standards. The workshop has been working on group incentive scheme since Oct 2004. Workshop premises are spread over a total area of 401.03 acres including residential areas. Staff colony has 708 quarters. The average expenditure on each Non AC coaches comes to around Rs. 18.85 lakhs while for an Air Conditioned coach it is around Rs. 27 Lakhs. Total budget allotment of the shop is around Rs.121 Crores for a year. The shop functions out of budget provisions from railway board in the form of Rolling stock program. The committed workforce of the workshop has carried out many innovative system improvements over the years including in-house development of RFID based gate attendance & incentive calculation system etc. The shop has outsourced many activities over the years including grit blasting of outer surface of shell, sand blasting of bogie flames, retro fitment of air brakes, over hauling of air brakes cylinders, screen of coach number printing etc. A Regional Welding Institute for comprehensive training of welders of various railways has been set up and various modules are being operated in workshop premises. OUR VISION : World Class Manufacture of State of the Art Railway Coaches as a Step towards the Nation's Development in the Decades ahead. OUR MISSION :
To Develop Facilities Incorporating Cost Efficient Modern Technologies For Manufacture of Coaches. To Build A Township With Need Based Social Infrastructure For Quality Living of Employees.

The welfare activities on West Central Railway are as under :- CRWS comes in west central railway.
1.Railway Schools of WCR :West Central Railway is running three prestigious Higher Secondary Schools at New Katni, Jabalpur division, Itarsi , Bhopal division and Gangapur City, Kota division. In addition to this, two High schools at JBP and one primary school at Satna, one Primary school at Kota and one primary school at Itarsi, are being monitored by railways. Total number of 3439 children of Railway employees as well as non-railway persons are being educated in these schools every year. In addition to this, one Kendriya Vidhyalaya at New Katni and one Bal Bharti Public School at CRWS/Bhopal is also running with the assistance of the Railways in railway Campus for the benefit of children of Railway employees. To promote various cultural and sports activities amongst children studying in these schools, inter-school Competitions have been organized every year. Apart from this, Educational tours, summer camps are also arranged in summer vacations. The main objects of these summer camps are to improve activities amongst children like games and sports, hobby development, environmental knowledge, health awareness, cultural activities, programmes for improvement in handwriting, & reading habits. Prominent dignitaries are invited to deliver lectures in these camps on various important subjects such as conservation of environment disaster management, water harvesting etc. Education (a)Scholarship for Technical/Medical Education:Scholarship is awarded from SBF to promote education of eligible wards, dependents and brothers/sisters of railway employees undergoing Technical Education such as diploma in Computer science, medical, veterinary, various kind of Engineering courses including Agriculture course from recognized Institutes/Universities. Minimum duration of such
courses should be four years for degree and three years for diploma of regular duration. Part-time/Correspondence courses are not covered under this scheme. The sons & wards of the employees getting scholarship/financial assistance from educational institutions and Government/University etc are not eligible for scholarship distributed from SBF. The SBF Committee may with hold the award of any scholarship/financial assistance under the prescribed norms. (b)Cash Prize: To encourage meritorious wards of railway employees in Graduation/ Post graduation courses, SBF provides cash award of Rs. 2000/- every year. This facility is awarded to two children/dependents of an employee, who secure 60% or above marks in the final exams. Children/wards of group C staff belonging to SC/ST and group D staff of all categories are exempted from above percentage, but the child of SC/ST and group D staff of all categories should pass the examination in the first attempt. 2.Railway Institutes and Clubs : 24 Railway Institutes and 07 Officers Recreation Clubs, are functioning on WCR, which are situated at different stations wherelarge number of Staff /Officers are working. SBF grant is provided to these Institutes for recreations.

5.Holiday Homes: There is only one Holiday Home ( 02 officers suit and two employees suits) on this railway, which is situated at Pachmarhi, 54 Kms away from Pipariya Railway station. Pachmarhi is approachable by regular bus services from Pipariya. Pachmarhi is famous for its beautiful natural sceneries & waterfalls. Allotment of the Holiday Home forgroup C is done by Asstt. Personnel Officer (Welfare) Jabalpur Division. (Rly Phone no: 55706). Suite for the officers is being allotted by Sr. DEN(Co) Jabalpur.

7. Subsidized Hostels:There are Subsidized Hostels on this Railway. One is situated at Railway Upper Line Colony, Jabalpur where the accommodation is of 28 students. 8.Crches:Crches have been set up which are being run at Rly colonies by WWO/JBP at JBP, BPL(HBJ), and Kota for the benefit of staff working in the divisional offices.
Assistance is given from the SBF for the smooth functioning of these crches.

9.Cultural Activities /Scout and Guide :For promotion and encouragement of cultural activities over WCR, amongst the employees and their families, special programmes are being organized by the Cultural Academy of HQ and cultural academy of JBP, BPL and Kota division.Every year funds have been provided by SBF for smooth functioning of the cultural academy. Scouts and guide organization participating in various functions such aschildren Camps, cultural activities on Republic day and Independence day, Welfare work on Polio day, various sports functions and other social functions.Every year assistance is given by SBF for cultural activities and Scout and guide activities. 10.Staff Benefit Fund:The Management Committee of Staff Benefit Fund at HQ level, monitors all sorts of welfare activities and plans other social activities by distributing the funds on the basis of per capita ratio and allotment conveyed by Rly Board under various heads to divisional/workshop SBF committees for organising the regular activities over WCR. For efficient utilization of allotted funds under SBF, the regular meetings are conducted at HQ level to review the performance and to ensure proper functioning of SubCommittees constituted at Division and Workshop level.
(i)Recreation and Amusement: (a)Holiday Camps:Every year, CSBF provides funds for organizing Holiday Camps for the children and non-gazetted railway employees at Zonal level as well as Division/Workshop level separately. An amount of Rs 1,50,000/- is allotted for each camp. Total no of 50 Children above 11 to 15 years of age are eligible to participate in each camp. Employees nearing to retirement are given preference in the employees Camp. Total no of 50 railway employees can participate in each camp. Camp Officer, Camp management staff, Doctor, Nurse and SBF committee members are deputed to organize each camp successfully.
(b)Grant to Social Welfare Centres:Every year the Headquarters CSBF Committee is sanctioning funds for maintenance of the Welfare centers. Financial aid of Rs. 25/- per member is being given to Handicraft Centre and Welfare Centers from CSBF.
(c)Railway Institutes : The CSBF Committee communicates sanction of funds for maintenance of the Railway Institutes based on the number of membership on 1st of April every year. Financial aid @ Rs. 10/-per member is being given to these Institutes from SBF. (ii) Relief of Distress and Sickness: (a)Maintenance Grant : Financial assistance as interim relief towards maintenance grants @ Rs. 4000/- P.M. irrespective of basic payand pay band, is provided to Non Gazetted Railway Employees suffering from sicknesses like T.B./Leprosy/Cancer & HIV+ve and other chronic disease provided they do not have leave credited to their account. The concerned Personnel Inspectors/Welfare Inspectors are rendering assistance to such employees of his jurisdiction and educating them to file claim of maintenance grant in prescribed form for taking payment from SBF through respective divisional committees. (b)Reimbursement of cost of spectacles: In order to help Group D employees workingin Grade pay less than Rs.2800/- and below, and they have been prescribed spectacles by doctors, in such cases on filing claim to the respective committees, a grant of Rs. 500/- or actual cost, which ever is less, is reimbursed to them from SBF, once in five years. (c )Reimbursement of cost of Dentures : Re-imbursement in respect of the cost of denture is granted to an non gazetted employee once in his whole service at the rates given below:Half Set: Rs. 1000/Full Set: Rs. 2000/-
Dumb, Blind and mentally retarded :Financial Assistance @ Rs. 2000/-per child per annum is granted to deaf, dumb, blind and mentally retarded children of the Railway employees from SBF on filing claim to respective SBF committees.
(e)Aid to Families of Deceased Employees: In case of death of an serving employee in Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and below, an interim relief of Rs. 5000/-is provided to the family of deceased employee by the SBF, committee subject to condition that they are not getting any assistance from workmen compensation act or ex-gratia payment under the rule. (f)Newspapers Magazines to Indoor Patients:For entertainment of indoor patients admitted in Railway Hospitals, news papers/Magazines are provided through respective SBF committees. (iii)Women empowerment:For the benefit of women of Rly employees & for their higher education in Weaving, knitting, spinning, tailoring of garments, Beauty parlour, Jewellary making, Mehandi, fabric painting, part time courses of15 to 30 days are being organized from respective SBF committees with the object of helping them in learning some profitable skill just to enhance theirfamily income.
(iv) Homeopathic/Ayurvedic Dispensaries: To encourage indigenous system of medicine amongst the Railway employees, Homeopathic/Ayurvedic dispensaries are being run by the respective SBF committees in the divisions/workshops. There are 09 Homeopathic & 01 Ayurvedic dispensaries functioning on this Railway on part time basis. These dispensaries remain open every day from 9.00 to 13 Hrs and 15 Hrs to 19 Hrs. in the evening except on Sunday and holidays. Part time Doctors are engaged to maintain these dispensaries. For proper and efficient functioning of the dispensaries the Divisional/Workshop SBF Sub Committee has overall control of the working of these dispensaries. The facilities in these dispensaries have been developed by the hononorary doctors in consultation with the SBF committee members within the prescribed grant. The retired Rly employees and their families can also avail the facilities of these dispensaries on the similar terms and conditions as
applicable to allopathic treatment subject to production of Medical Identity Card and on payment of half the rates of fees paid for Allopathic dispensaries.

Environmental Policy
We at CRWS/Bhopal commit ourselves to continually improve our environmental performance through effective control of rehabilitation & servicing of Railway carriages. We shall strive to achieve the above through: a) Compliance to all applicable legal & regulatory environmental requirements. b) Operate and maintain our plant & machinery in an environment friendly condition. c) Preventing pollution through conservation of resources and proper waste management practices. d) Provision of safe and healthy environment through operational control. e) Education and training to create awareness amongst our workers for maintaining environment friendliness. This policy shall be communicated at appropriate levels and reviewed from time to time for continuing suitability.
Health & Safety Policy We at CRWS Bhopal commit ourselves to continually improve our safe & healthy working condition and environmental protection through effective operation control of Mid-Life-Rehabilitation of passenger coaches through: a) Compliance of all statutory requirements for maintaining safety, health and environmental standards. b) Ensure safe working practices through education and training. c) Prevent all injuries and property damages through continuous safety inspection and audits. d) Prevent all employees from occupational disease and health hazards. e) Preserve and conserve environment through procedure laid down as per EMS 14001: 1996. This policy should be communicated at appropriate levels and reviewed from time to time for continuing suitability.
Services Offered:
a) MLR of BG coaches (ICF, RCF & BEML with ICF Bogies) in the age group of 12-15 years.
b) MLR of AC Coaches.
e) ART coaches under RSP programme. f) IOH of Bogie/coaches. BG coaches which are 12-15 years old are undertaken for complete corrosion repair & refurbishing with retro-fitment of bogie mounted airbrake taking an average cycle time of 35 days. Apart from above work of conversion of condemned coaches to Engineering Camping Coaches and ART Coaches is also undertaken under RSP.
Paint Removal: Incoming coaches are subjected to paint removal by Grit Blasting.
Coach Lifting Shop: Coaches are lifted to remove bogies for repairs, and dummy bogies are provided for internal movement within the workshop. Examination and repair of under-frame including centre pivot and side bearers are done in this shop.
Stripping Shop: Internal components and fittings are stripped off to get bare shell for corrosion repairs. Wall panels and flooring is removed. Cutting of body side panels by air plasma cutting is done in this shop.
Carpentry Shop: All internal mechanical fittings and furnishings, including berths and seats and water tanks are repaired.
Electrical Train Lighting Shop: All electrical fittings of coach are overhauled and tested prior to re-fitment.
Body Repair Shop: The entire coach body including structural members is subjected to inspection and replacement of corroded members giving necessary anti-corrosive treatment to the components. RSP modifications including provision of UIC Vestibules are also done in this shop.
Paint Shop: The coach shell is given a new look by complete painting (A-Schedule is undertaken). Lettering work on exterior as well as coach interior is done by screen printing process. The work of laying of FRP tissue on the trough floor is also done in this shop. Air-brake retro fitment work is done in this shop.
Furnishing Shop: All passenger amenities fittings and internal components (both mechanical and electrical) in the coach are replaced/refitted. The work of PVC flooring and testing of plumbing in lavatories done in this shop.
Bogie & Wheel Shop: The running and brake gear provided in bogies are completely stripped, cleaned, inspected and refitted/replaced. The bogie frames are shot blasted. Bogies are modified and provided with brake gearing for bogie-mounted air-brake system.
(Machine shop/Wheel shop and Roller Bearing sections are attached to the Bogie shop.) Final Shop: The coach body is lowered on overhauled bogies. Final adjustments and tests/inspection of out-going coaches including NTXR examination is undertaken in the final shop, which has pit inspection facility.
Ancillary Shops:
Millwright & Transport shop: Attention to all machinery and plant, lifting equipments, traversers and transport vehicle is being given by Millwright shop. Electrical Repair shop: All repairs from electrical side to machines, plant and equipments is being given by electrical shop. Shell Component shop: Components required for fitment in the coach shell are being manufactured from raw material (mainly corrosion resistance steel). It is a feeder shop for the body repair shop. Laboratory: All tests including the Ultrasonic and Magnaflux testing of axles, springs, block hangers & bolster suspension hangers and die-penetrant testing of roller bearings are undertaken.

I was appointed under MR. Koshti welfare inspector who watched workshop welfare activity and labour problems. He sad as govt. office we can give u only few our to guide you as we have our own work also. We went to the workshop to see overview of, each section. It was really huge plant. End Note In first week intern was observing the officer that how they perform and manage their duty in factory. Staff was cooperative. Make plan to manage my work schedule of of next upcoming days.
