ArteriesoftheLateralLeg Thearteriestothetissuesinthisregionarefromboth theanteriorandposteriortibialbranchesofthepopliteal artery.

Theanteriorcompartmentcontainsmusclesthatare basicallyextensorsoftheankleandtoes.Theyinclude: tibialisanterior extensordigitorumlongus extensorhallucislongus

DeepPeronealNerveofthe AnteiorCompartment
Thenerveoftheanteriorcompartmentofthelegisthe deepperonealnerve.Thisnerveterminatesbetweenthe bigtoeandsecondtoeandcanbetestedatthispoint.

Thearteryoftheanteriorcompartmentofthelegistheanteriortibialartery whichisabranchofthepoplitealartery.Itsterminalbranch,thedorsalispedis, canbepalpatedonthedorsumofthefootbetweenthe1stand2ndmetatarsal bones.
