STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Education has power.

It controls access to opportunity and advancement Education, therefore, is a process of living and not a preparation for future living. Having done an inspiring four-year course in Pharmacy I would like to put to use this knowledge to do my graduation in pharmacology. My intention in taking up graduation course in pharmacology is to shape up my career in research in fascinating field like pharmacology. I have got great opportunity to work as Junior pharmacologist since one year after completion of my B.Pharmacy, in Laila Impex research centre in which I have experience with several in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo techniques which includes all dosing routes, blood drawing of rat, non invasive blood pressure measuring, ECG techniques using power lab equipment which is from AD Instruments. And also I have some knowledge and working experience with Langendroff apparatus which is very helpful in cardiovascular research. and I can also prepare all tissue preparations like abdominal rectus muscle, different tracheal tissue preparations like tracheal ring method, spiral cut method etc, very well in order to get the best contraction and relaxation responses of tissue to know the effect of particular drug with reference to different standard drugs. English being medium of instruction I completed my schooling at St.AnthonysHigh School and my intermediate (10+2) from Sri Chaitanya Mahila Kalashala with botany, zoology, physics and chemistry as my major subjects. In an intention to take up undergraduation in Pharmacy I fetched myself a seat in Sri Venkateshwara College of Pharmacy. My under graduation program was the influential and most inspiring part of my career. During my under graduation study I realized that I had a change in my interests from anatomy physiology and pharmacology includes invivo and exvivo studies of animals. My course required me to study varied branches of physiology and pharmacology. The closeness I experienced with the subject created an interest in me towards it. The more we gain, the more is our desire; the more we see, the more we are capable of seeing. Hence I could I learn more about the subject and so I was able to put on a wider prospective of the subject. Apart from studies I also share interest in other activities. I am a fond of games. I participated in cricket and running representing my college. I could win many medals for my college in games. I am a member of organizing team in college and therefore could go through varied experiences. Sharing my knowledge with others has been most worthwhile, when comprehending a concept. It taught me that the basis for good work is self-reliance and very importantly, time management. I learned to accept both criticism and praise with a positive frame of mind. I am aware that intensive study in a specialized field is a difficult task to achieve and excel at. But I strongly believe that what we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not because the nature of the thing has changed,

but because the power to do it has augmented. Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a constant learning process. This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists. I have found that the educational system in United States of America allows for greater innovative and unconventional thinking with required infrastructure and aid for international students. As I browsed through the list of schools, I narrowed down a few selected ones according to their course structures. Your university fulfils all my requirements of a well-designed course: adequate facilities, broad curricula, flexible course structures and practical training opportunities. I would be grateful to you if I'm accorded the opportunity to pursue my graduate studies with financial assistance at your institution and I am thoroughly confident and self assured that I will be able to justify your faith in me. I would relish the prospect of being part of an institution as distinguished as yours.
