The sea closest to Germany and Europe is the Metatherian Sea. Population The population of Germany is 82,431,390 (July 2005 est.) I am not 100% sure what the population is in this year (2012) as everyone knows that the population increases every year.
Capital City. The capital city of Germany is Berlin. Berlin has many activities and sights to view, scroll to land marks to find out more! Environment The environment in Germany is different in parts of the country. In the city most hotels have a minimum space in the apartment. In that space they usually have single beds and a bedside table, the bathroom is commonly separated from the room. More into the country, people who own barns can use that property as a motel. The special thing about it is that people who want to experience living in a barn has to sleep on hay inside the barn with a sleeping bag if wanting to! Famous Landmarks To start off, one of the landmarks in Berlin is the Brandenburg gate which divides Germany into 2 states/countries. The state in the east was communist (Communist, a land of property which the public owns.) and the people who lived in the west was Federal government.
Berlin Wall: Berlin wall is on the west of Berlin. It is a long wall which was 103 kilometres long and 3-4 or 36 metres high. On the side of Berlin wall there is graffiti and art created by artists from all-over the world. The Kaiser-Willhelm-Gedachtnis-Kirche: The Kaiser-Willhelm-Gedachtnis-Kirche was known for its architecture and was almost destroyed from bombs which was released in World War 2, however this building was rebuilt in 1963. Celebrations: These are a few celebrations that I have researched during our inquiry learning unit. - Hannover Meese- (2nd half of April) In Hannover Meese international trade fairs are made in the 2nd half of April. - Hamburg Dom ( April, August and November ) During the Hamburg Dom it is known in Germany of the most largest number of people involved in this celebration in Northern Germany. This festival is held three times a year. - Walpurgisnacht- ( 30th of April- 1st of May ) In this Celebration, there was a legend that there was a
witches Sabbath so citizens and others from Germany dress up as witches and gather on Brocken Mountain and in other places in the Harz Mountains. Munich Celebrations Worlds most held parties. A prince from Germany in 1810 had a wedding held in Munich, the wedding/party was so good it is still going! Today it is called Oktoberfest, it last for 12 days and it attracts people from all over the world to be involved in this celebration. Other ideas made from the public are a part of Oktoberfest in Munich such as amusement parks. History about Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler was born on the 20th of April 1889 and past-away on the 30th of April 1945. Hitler was born in Austria and grew up to be a German politician and the leader of the national Germans worker party. He was a great chancellor (chancellor- the head of the government in some European countries.) of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and a powerful dictator. Nazi Germany/ the
