(Internship-guidelines would be issued to the students from the CCR (Center for Corporate Relations)
1. TRAINING GUIDELINES: 1. Students would undertake this Summer-Training programme only after successful completion of the first year of the programme which would be of duration from 8 to 10 weeks. 2. Summer-training consists of 200 marks, and the distribution is given below : Report Writing: Presentation (Viva-Voce): 100 Marks 100 Marks
3. Before starting the summer-training, students would have to register with the Academics by filling up the Summer Project Registration Form, as given in the Student Handbook, i.e. Form No. 4. 4. Report should be submitted in the first week of July, 2011. 5. Presentation (viva-voce) would be arranged and conducted between July 11, and July 16. 6. Absence from the scheduled session for the presentation (viva-voce) would be resulted into the disqualification of the student for evaluation. 7. Each candidate will have a time slot of 20 minutes for the presentation (viva-voce). 8. The evaluation of presentation (viva-voce) will have the following criteria: a. Time Management b. Presentation Style c. Knowledge Quotient d. Rationale e. Analysis & Recommendations 10 15 30 15 30 ======== Total: 100
9. Grades will be awarded as per the grading system of the Institute. 10. The project-presentation would fall under either of the two categories: a. b. ACCEPTED NOT ACCEPTED1
11. Each student will submit one hard copy of the project report (Summer Training) in the recommended format to the Manager (Academics) and soft copy in a CD. 12. The students are advised to keep a copy of the report with them, as the copy submitted to the Institute will not be returned. 13. The suggested structure of the report is attached. The report must follow the structure. 14. There must not be deviation from requirement of reproducing the cover page of the report from format prescribed. 15. The size of the report would depend on the project work done and it must be anywhere between 50 to 100 typed pages (double space) on A4 size paper with 12 font size. 16. The report must be hardbound in navy blue color covered with transparent polythene sheet, and the letters on the cover page must be embossed in golden dye. 17. The report will be accepted by the Manager (Academics) only when it has been certified by the concerned company guide that it is the original work of the student. (Vide: 3. Formats of Certificates) 18. The final draft of project-report should be completed during the Summer Placement itself. Students will complete the writing / typing / computer work by themselves. 19. If any material in the report is picked up from a source and the source name is not referenced in the Bibliography section then it will be treated as a case of plagiarism. 20. Wherever a questionnaire has been used during the summer training, a sample copy of the questionnaire should be attached in the Appendix of the report. 21. Students are advised to maintain a diary and record of daily events.
The students, who get NOT ACCEPTED, will have to rewrite and present their report again to the evaluation committee.

1. As we know that this is a SIP in which student is learning practical aspects in a company and
mainly guided from company mentor. Faculty guide is providing fruitful help to his/her students in solving conceptual doubts and preparation of final report only.
2. Need of primary data, secondary data or only company data is depends on nature of project
title. 3. Methodology of Project and analysis of data is depends on nature of project title and nature of data.
4. All students are informed that the subject matter given in above content is only a broader view
regarding preparation of final report. Students are advised to prepare his/her report according to the nature, structure and characteristics of company as well as nature and characteristics of project title.
5. Students will submit his/her SIP Report and Presentation to the Company, and obtain a
confirmation from the company and submit along with the report.
