The document provides instructions and activities for celebrating the second week of Advent, including spending time in prayer thanking God for Jesus as a baby and asking God to help the reader grow to be more like Jesus. It also suggests asking an adult how Joseph felt when he learned Mary would be the mother of Jesus, practicing the memory verse from Isaiah 7:14, and finding time each week to discuss with family how different people in the Christmas story might have felt.

Thank God for
Jesus as a baby. Thank God for the man Jesus grew to be. Ask God to help you grow to be more like Jesus.

Ask a grown-up how Joseph found out
Mary would be the mother of Jesus. (You can find it in Matthew 1:18-24). How do you think Joseph felt when he learned this?
Practice your memory verse!
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a
sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Read Luke 2:1-7 in your Bible. Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14
Come celebrate the second week of Advent.
This Advent season, find a time each week
when you can discuss the different people in the Christmas story with your family. Imagine how each person might have felt. Wonder about how you would have felt if you had been a part of that first Christmas.
