    Chapter 9 Reflections

    Making education real and workable for all students is important, and there are as many ways of
    accomplishing that as there are students.
    I really liked this quote because I feel like it gives purpose to the strategy handouts that we
    worked so hard on. We went over so many workable strategies that we do not have a reason to
    do the best that we can do as teachers to educate our students. As a future teacher I plan to use
    these strategies to help create an inclusive classroom by using it as ideas to help personalize my
    students learning. I have so many things to access because of this class that I would be a poor
    teacher if I did not use them. And that would not benefit my students.
    Teaching techniques for dealing with real life to all students is mandatory if we are to create a
    caring and cooperative next generation.
    I really liked this quote because it opens up a whole new avenue of things that we really should
    teach our students. Unfortunately the Texas school board does not fully agree with this. So we
    have to remember that the social skills that we teach our students in the classroom are brought
    into adulthood, so we have to be sure to teach them the proper social skills in the classroom. This
    also extends to educating our students about those with disabilities. As a future educator I plan to
    use this knowledge to educate my students as much about the world around as I possibly can so
    that they can take it into their life.
