these images. The class will then engage in a discussion about their
assumptions and attitudes based on their first impression of the
contents in the slideshow.

Students will be given the greater portion of this exercise to engage


in a class discussion about their assumptions and attitudes related
to each image or clip presented in the slideshow.
Learning through this exercise will be evaluated through the class
discussion as well as their ability to apply knowledge from this
class to subsequent class discussing the concept of
marginalization.

Presenting a slideshow with a variety of images or clips that


usually initiate some assumptions will allow the students to see
