    To Whom It May Concern:


    Ms. Mary Zanni has requested that I write a recommendation in support of her
    application for a professional teaching position in adolescent and special education. I am
    extremely pleased to do so.
    I have known Mary since the fall of 20 11 as her teacher in several undergraduate
    courses within Teacher Education. I was also Mary's supervisor for one of her student teaching
    placements in a special education secondary setting. Mary is an exceptionally conscientious
    individual who consistently exceeds whatever high expectations are established for learners.
    Her written work was very good, in class presentations were of high quality, and her in-class
    contributions exhibited clarity and depth of thought that were exceptional and insightful. Her
    organizational skills are exemplary and ability to work as a team member is outstanding.
    As a student teacher Mary consistently demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and
    commitment to continually improve. As with others in her cohort, Mary was extraordinarily
    dedicated and committed to pursue a Bachelor's Degree and teacher certification in a rigorous
    and intense program while working full time for BOCES 2. Mary never lost her enthusiasm and
    her desire to achieve her aspirations.
    Mary is also a compassionate, caring and personable woman. Her personality,
    leadership and intellectual intensity are attributes that were consistently demonstrated in class.
    She is someone whom other students seek out for guidance and assistance. I would give Mary
    my highest recommendation possible for she is, in my view, precisely the type of individual
    that schools hope to attract and retain as teachers.
    There is no question that Mary Zanni possesses all of the prerequisite skills, dispositions
    and knowledge to become a successful teacher of all children. I recommend her without
    hesitation and believe that she will contribute greatly to your program.
