    General Directions: Please insert this questionnaire inside your quiz notebooks. All
    answers and solutions, unless specified, should be written in your quiz notebooks.
    Deadline of submission is on Wednesday (March 20), 5PM. You may get your quiz
    notebooks on my table.

    Part 1: Area Method


    For the beam and loadings shown, draw the Shear and Moment Diagrams using
    the Area Method. Indicate the values at all change of loading positions and at all
    points of zero shear. Also specify the degree of each curve in the diagrams. What is
    the value of maximum shear and bending moment?

    Part 2: Section Method


    For the beam and loadings shown, determine the value of the concentrated loads P
    and Q such that the bending moment 12 ft from A is 6 kipft and 5.5 kipft , 16 ft
    from A. Also determine the reactions at the fixed support at E.
