Q.1) - A vessel of LBP=160m, LCF=77m, TPC=18, MCTC=200tm, is at a draft of F =7.8 m
A = 8.1m. To affect repairs at bow, it is necessary to reduce the FWD draft to 6.5m.
The maximum permissible draft where the ship is to be berthed is 7.0m and cargo can
be discharged from holds No.1, 70m forward of amidships and No.4, 30m aft of
amidships. Compute the minimum cargo to be discharged from each hold.
Assume LCF, TPC & MCTC remain unchanged.
