THE FOLLLOWING ARE THE PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN DURING THE
CARGO OPERATIONS.
BEFORE LOADING & DURING LOADING :
1. Ensure that all drains in the cargo lines,manifold lines,pump lines
etc... are closed.
2. Ensure that all tankdomes,ullage ports,vapour locks etc.. are
tightly shut.
3. Ensure that you are wearing full protective clothing Chemical
suit,rubber gloves,goggles.
4. Ensure no leakage of cargo.
CONNECTING / DISCONNECTING LOADING ARMS :
1. Ensure that you are wearing full protective suit along with SCBA
to protect yourself from inhaling the toxic vapours of the cargo.
Ensure spare SCBA is available and leave the space immediately
once the air in the cylinder comes to low level. {when the
warning whistle sounds}
2. The shore will be blowing the lines with nitrogen to avoid the harmful release of
B.A during disconnection.
