It also has a wonderful brunch menu. Great atmosphere! 3. ATavola I havent been here much, but it has delightful deli type food and a darling gift shop. 4. The Modern Hotel & Bar You may be staying here! It also has a charming bar. 5. The Safari Inn Or you might be staying here! 6. Mulligans This is somewhat of a dive bar. Thankfully it is non- smoking these days. We frequented it a lot during our college summers. Pool, foosball, and cheap beer. 7. Shopping Theres an Anthro and a North Face here along with some other shops. 8. 8th Street This block is a fab place to hang out. Aspen Leaf has self serve frozen yogurt, Matador has a fun vibe, another two bars across the street, Pollo Ray for some Mexican, Pie Hole for late night pizza... Plus there is the market on Saturday. 9. The Grove Youll nd fountains here along with splashing children. Theres also a sushi place and a souvenir shop nearby. 10. Good Block On this block youll discover the Tap House (great burgers and loads of beer on tap), the historic Egyptian Theater, and Pita Pit (for some one the go pitas). 11. Space Bar Probably our favorite bar in Boise. It has a chill vibe, good drinks, and you can play old school arcade games. 12. Flying M & Guidos The Flying M is the best coffee shop. Really neat atmosphere and an awesome gift shop. Guidos has the best pizza in town (in my opinion). Big NY style slices. 13. Bardenay A pretty yummy restaurant. I like the satay. Also, they distill their own gin and rum, I recommend the mojito and Ryan likes their gin and tonic. 14. Bar Gernika & Basque Block We love the croquetas (delicious potato cheesy fried goodness) at Bar Gernika. This is also the block where youll nd the Basque Museum, which is really fascinating all about their presence here in Idaho. 15. BoDo Follow this street and youll get to a revamped part of downtown. Theres a Loft and Urban Outtters as well as PF Changs, some other restaurants, and a movie theater. 16. Art Museum, Historical Museum, Zoo Down a little ways on Capitol, you will nd a wonderful park (Julia Davis), the art museum (small, but sometimes has something good on), the little historical museum, and a pretty darn good zoo. 17. Bricolage Just down a few blocks on 6th street, you will nd Bricolage. I had to mention this shop because A) it belongs to Kyles cousin and B) it has the best gifts. I absolutely love their Idaho t-shirt. Loads of cool and unique things! 18. Hyde Park Up aways from downtown on 13th street is Hyde Park. A quaint little area with a yummy ice cream shop, coffee shop, some antique shops, as well as Camels Back Park. As kids and teenagers we spent a lot of time here. NOT ON THE MAP, BUT WORTH A VISIT The Greenbelt A very lovely paved path the follows the Boise River through town. Its an ideal place to go for a jog, a walk, or a bike ride. Boise Fry Company This place is denitely a car ride from down town, but sooo worth it. It has the best burgers (Eleris opinion) and wonderful fries that you can have in any style along with an assortment of unique condiments.
