Executive Summary
Objective
To create a one of a kind event to raise awareness about responsible dog ownership and to create a fun and exciting event for the community to join together to support the Clinton Humane Society. This event has the potential to bridge a partnership between the animal care industry and the communities in which it serves.

Goals
To promote responsible dog ownership and offer a one-of-a-kind event that will help to promote the two cities in which the race will occur.

Solution
When we are successful in our endeavors, it is our hope that both communities will experience positive economic gain and community spirit, increased knowledge regarding the Clinton Humane Society and at the same time, merging the distance that separates our two cities by creating a common goal. It is our intention to bring strong positive media attention to both cities in an effort to increase tourism on both sides of the river. This is an event that we expect to grow over the years, as it is the only bi-state canine walk/run in the United States. That alone will be a draw as it is the only of its kind. The Clinton Humane Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. We rely on the funds generated by events such as this, to help us in our mission: The Clinton Humane Society, founded in 1941, is a non-profit animal shelter that is supported by donations from the community, fundraising, grants, and membership dues. We have one mission-to support and care for homeless and suffering animals. The shelter believes in advancing humane education, preventing animal cruelty and giving a voice to animals that cannot speak out and ask for help themselves. We believe in the Clinton Humane Society and its ongoing mission to care for the less fortunate animals in our community. Its 72 years of experience makes a difference and provides a vital service to the community. We believe that no animal is disposable and that they are all valuable. All animals deserve a good home with loving and caring owners. We believe that we must provide a voice for the animals that cannot speak out and ask for help themselves. We believe that the Clinton Humane Society is a place of hope and compassion. Its mission to provide and care for suffering and homeless animals, to prevent cruelty to all animals, and to advance humane education, is as vital today as it will be one week, one month or one year from now.
