Introduction The assessment of the Post Contract Management is done based on three different activities. 1. Report based on a selected project (P1.1, P1.2, P2.1, P3.1, P4.1, P4.3 & P4.4), (M1, M2, M3, D2) Students are required; I. To select an on going project where 80% work is completed within Colombo or suburbs II. III. Investigate project quantity surveying work Write a report covering the areas of Contract Documents, Valuation of Work including the lump sums, variation and Claims of the selected project with appropriate introduction and conclusion to the project.(Maximum 3000 words) IV. Findings may be attached to the report as appendices to illustrate the QS practice in a construction project V. Your report should reveal the comparison of concepts /theory learnt in the class room and the practice of such in a real working environment emphasizing new practices , examples and best practices that you identified within the project. Note: The investigation of a project shall be a group work, and the submission as the individual work.
2. Class Room Activity An Activity is carried out in the class room with the supervision of the Assessor and achieved individually within the specified time duration based on the details issued by the assessor on the particular class room activity day. a) Prepare Interim Valuations and Final Accounts b) Adjust the Prime Cost and Provisional Sums c) Prepare variation accounts (P2.2,P3.2 & P4.2), (M2,M3,D1,D2,)
