in this project and the relevant needs.

Provide an analysis of the considerations in building the brief which will have an impact on both the design
and the construction stage of the project.

Given that communication is a central plank to all construction projects, and the need for clarity is most
critical at the design stage, which sets the agenda for the rest of the project, what are the potential barriers
to communication between the client and the design team, and indeed, within the design team itself? How
can these problems best be overcome?

REFERRAL:
1) All the required steps and workings should be shown clearly, legibly and orderly to the
Assessor.
2) Solution to each task should be in a continuous manner.
3) Solving equations by programmed calculators is not allowed.
4) Failure to adhere to instructions will severely affect your grades.
5) A word processed hard bound copy of the assignment has to be submitted to the
department.
6) Do not forget to attach the grading sheet and the common skill sheet at the back of your
assignment.
7) You are advised to keep your own electronic and hard copy of your work submitted.
8) No extension will be given for improper documentation at the time of submission and the
department shall not hold responsible for that.
9) Late submissions will NOT be generally accepted. Where a student fails to submit
assignments owing to extenuating circumstances, or where a student considers that his/
her performance has been affected by extenuating circumstances, he/she should ensure
that written medical evidence or evidence of other circumstance is presented to the course
coordinator before the date on which the assignments were due to be submitted. (Late
submission form could be obtained from the department)A signed receipt must be
obtained when the assignments are submitted. You should keep your receipt safely.
10) Plagiarism and collusion are very serious offences that will cause for a Fail grade and at
worse cases can result in expulsion from the college.
11) Never attempt to copy or paraphrase another students work.
12) You are actively encouraged to work in pairs/ groups and participate as a team in
industrial visits. However the sections of the assignment that you answer must be your
own individual work.
13) You should make it very clear what sources of information have been used; where
material/information from these sources is quoted it must be clearly referenced using a
standard referencing system. (Details could be obtained from the department)
14) The students will be asked to demonstrate their findings/ solutions in the report verbally
before finalizing the results.
15) Not attending the oral examination on the scheduled dates without prior notice will cause
for a Fail grade.
16) The students shall present all the sources of information collected (Evidence) at the oral
examination.
