Plan 2/6 Toy #1 The Stacker Model 1& 2

Toy #2 Train Stacker The Model

Choosing the final design

Specification Point Aesthetics Cost Customer Ergonomics Size Safety Function Material Innovation Modification Toy #1 The Stacker X Toy #2 Train stacker X X

According to the list of specification point above, I am satisfied with The Stacker, because I think it will be more efficient than the train stacker, the design would be more attractive so that the kids will like it, the materials that applied in this toy are also big

enough so it wouldnt harm the preschoolers. It would be simpler so that the 2 3 years old children can play it too. It has been suitable with my planning in design specification, the design and the cost, the materials discussed. But, I think I want to add some modification towards the design. On the circle part of the stacker, I will put some numbers up to 5/6 so that the preschoolers may able to learn numbers too. If its only plain with colorful colors, it will decrease the attractiveness of the toy. I will decrease the thickness too, because I will need a lot of wood needed and the cost of the material would be too expensive.

Note: Here is my prototype of the toy that Im going to choose for my final design. Ive changed my mind and Ive explained it in my Evaluation above, the object that Im going to use its not rectangle but circle in a shape of a sphere. Criterion C. PLAN Materials: - Wood Board (40 x 60) - Saw - Paintbrush - Paint Steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Sand Paper Foundation

Cut the board according to the design. Use the sand paper to make the surface soft and free from splinter Use foundation to make the surface 2x softer than before. Paint the stacker Test the toy.

Changes to my design: - Use more than four colors - Put numbers on the stacker - Re-size the thickness of the sphere object. Questions: 1. Is the plan in logical order? Why? What happen if you change the order between doing batik and tie-dye?

Yes, what Ive made the plan in logical order, as you can see above Ive made it in a simple form, which is related to the point but clear. 2. Did I plan it for the given amount of time (3 weeks)? Is it possible to be done? What can I do to make sure I follow the plan? Yes, I predicted that the plan would be enough for 3 weeks. But it really helps, if you teachers decrease our homework, so that the DT may flow fluently. I need my homework calendar, so I can manage my time to work. 3. Did I mention any materials/tools that I need? Will it be provided by school or myself? Is there any materials/tools which I am not clear how to use it? Yes, I did mention the materials/tools that I need. Well, some of the materials such as Sand paper and Foundation. Im going to provide other materials by myself. I think the materials needed, so I know how to use it. 4. Have I mentioned any detailed things (measurement, amount of time or things, steps, images) Well, I did make the measurement, things, steps and the image. But I didnt make the amount of time, Im afraid that the time will be not enough if I predict it.

Friends checklist:

Should I modify my plan? Why? No, according to the table above, the steps was clear enough. Everyone understands my steps. All I need to do is just making the predictable time.
