    In preparing passage plan for arrival in port, have the following 2nd OFFICER factors been taken into consideration ? Available port information Advice recommendations in sailing directions Latest weather reports Tidal and currents for port and adjacent areas Calculated known minimum and maximum depths of water in port approaches, channels and at berth Any restrictions on draught, trim, speed, entry times etc. Are all relevant charts and nautical publications corrected up to date 2nd OFFICER and courses laid off? Have the latest navigational message for the area been received ? 2nd OFFICER Has the port Authority been contacted for any recent changes / dangers in navigational charts affecting the area ? Is the Bridge check list no.4 completed ? Has the manual steering engaged in sufficient times? Are the following ready for use ? Mooring lines / wires -1 messenger ropes/heaving lines/ emergency towing wire Pressure on fire main Is the Bridge check list no. 6, 7 & 8 completed ? Has ETA been sent to Agent / Pilot / Port / Company with all relevant information required by the local regulations Has the engine room been informed of probable "Standby" time ? Has the anchor station party been informed of " Stand by" time? Has the crew been advised of the time of "Stand by" for entering port ? Have the channels for various services noted and a radio check been carried out ? Is it necessary to re-arrange cargo/ballast ? Is the following berth information available ?     Notes: Check list to be completed every time vessel leaves for sea an entry shall be made in the deck log book for the purpose of inspection. Any deficiencies shall be reported in Defect/Incident Report form.
