Pahlish - Afternoon Tea Collection

Hey there!

Today, I have a delightful little quad to share with you all fro Pahlish.  The Afternoon Tea Collection is very light and delicate which makes it seem more like a spring collection but these beautiful crellies can be worn year round.  I have always liked the combo of multichrome flakies mixed into crelly bases.  If you are like me, then you will love these four.  The color combos are interesting and the added shimmer make them pop.  Let's take a look!

Hello all!

I have another fun little Valentine's Day inspired collection to share with you all today.  Nine Zero Lacquer has released a trio of polishes perfect for the holiday.  Most of the time, when someone mentions Valentine's Day, you immediately think of red and pink and white.  These polishes are within that color scheme but are not traditional.  They would look great all year round.  Let's take a look!

Scruffers - My Blogger Collab with Great Lakes Lacquer

Hello friends,

I have a very special post today.  I have collaborated with Great Lakes Lacquer to create a limited edition polish for November.  With this polish releasing in the fall, I wanted a fun color that would be perfect for the season.  I have been loving mustard yellow in autumn for a few years now and wanted to make a nail polish shade that reflected that but still had something special.  Great Lakes Lacquer makes some pretty amazing crellies, so I knew that had to be the finish for my polish.  Mariah and I had been going back and forth tweaking my collaboration shade and finalized it this past weekend.  This all happened to coincide with the unexpected loss of my bestest scruffy buddy, Oscar.  I am still so very sad over the loss of my dog but being able to honor him with a special nail polish is very special.  I hope you like it :)

"Scruffers" is a muted mustard yellow crelly that is packed with copper microflakie shimmer and sprinkled with gold/copper/magenta ultrachrome flakes.  The formula is really lovely with a nice squishy effect.  If you are a yellow polish lover (and I know some of you out there are!), you will really like this shade of yellow.  I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat in this swatch.

This special collaboration shade is limited edition.  You will only be able to purchase this shade from Nov 18th to Dec 2nd.  After that, it will be retired.  I am giving away a bottle of my Scruffers at the end of this post, so be sure to enter if you want to win!  And if you have a little buddy in your life...give them a big hug for me.  We love them so much and they leave us too soon.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Summer 2016 Collection

Hello all!

Today, we are taking a look at a new Summer collection from an indie brand that is very nostalgic for me.  Whimsical Ideas by Pam was one of the first indie brands that I bought from as a fledgling nail polish collector.  She had the cutest little bottles and always had really creative polishes.  I always look forward to seeing her new collections even though I haven't ordered from her in a while.  So, I was flattered when Pam asked me to review her new Summer 2016 Collection!  There are six polishes in this collection, all of them are a different finish.  They are available now to order, so let's take a look!

Lavish Polish - Spring 2016 Collection

Hi folks!

I have another pretty Spring collection to share you with you all today.  This is a small collection of 5 polishes from Lavish Polish.  They are all holographic crellies that are sweet and dainty for the season.  I am sure I have said this before on the blog, but Lavish Polish makes some of my favorite crellies.  Their formulas are just divine.  For these photos, I did a little watermarble accent nail using all five colors of the collection.  They watermarbled quite well!  This collection is available right now, so let's take a look!

KBShimmer Winter 2015 Crelly Polishes

Hello lovelies!

I have another handful of polishes from the KBShimmer Winter 2015 Collection to share with you tonight.  These four polishes are all a crelly formula.  A Crelly is a cross between an opaque creme polish and a sheer jelly polish.  They are typically opaque in 2-3 coats but still have a squishy quality to them.  KBShimmer is known for their amazing crelly with glitter polishes and these four are no exception.  These are all from the winter collection but they aren't colors that scream Christmas.  They would work well year round.  Let's take a look at the squishies!

KBShimmer Fall 2015 Collection

Hi friends!

I am overjoyed to share a new collection from KBShimmer with you all tonight.  If you have been following the indie nail polish community at all over the past few years, you have likely heard of KBShimmer.  They are the most popular indie nail polish brand ever!  (at least in my opinion)  They always have a wide range of nail polish colors and finishes that are hardly ever out of stock and super affordable.  Plus, they also carry other bath and body products and nail art supplies.  A one stop shop!  I have been a huge fan of Christy's creations for years, so you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to join the KBShimmer blogging team.  The Fall 2015 Collection is a set of 12 polishes including 4 cremes, 2 crellys, 2 jellies, 1 linear holographic, 1 glass fleck, 1 microglitter and 1 glow in the dark polish.  These babies release tomorrow, so lets get into some swatches!

Lavish Polish - Summer 2015 Collection

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a happy and safe Independence Day this weekend!  (at least those of you that live in the States)  Mine was pretty lame as I had to work.  So, to start off this lovely week, I have a bright summer collection to share with you.  Lavish Polish has come out with a collection of five summer neons.  I preferred some of these on their own and some of these over a white base.  They are all super bright and actually water marbled quite well.  I am not a professional water marble artist like some ladies in Instragram are.  So if they worked for me...they should work for you!  I did a little water marble accent nail for all of these swatches using all five colors over a white base. Let's get into some summer neons!

Lisa Nail Lacquer - Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Good day to you!

Summer is in full swing!  It has actually felt like summer for a few months already here in Florida but it has been 98-101 all week and that is hot.  Hot!  I have some creamy spring and summer shades to share with you today that are sure to make you want to be out in the sun.  Lisa Nail Lacquer is a fairly new indie nail polish brand that creates 100% vegan and 4-free polishes.  Most of Lisa's polishes are cremes and shimmers.  I have been loving indie creme polishes lately and you should, too.  So let's get into these fun spring and summer shades!

Nayll Custom Polishes - The Peterson Girls 2.0

Hello!

The fun thing about indie polish is all the cool glitter combinations you can get.  And indie makers do an amazing job at creating interesting combos.  But have you ever wanted a specific glitter combination and just couldn't find that exact polish anywhere?  Well, you are in luck!  Nayll is a company out of California that is set up to make custom polishes just the way you want them.  All you do it go to their site, select your base, then select your glitters or shimmers.  It's that easy!  You even get to name your polish and the name goes right on the label.  Such a cool idea.  And what is even better...the polishes don't suck!

I decided to make 4 polishes in honor of my four girl cousins.  Us second gen Peterson girls are amazing.  Just like the original Peterson girls, our mothers.  I am not sure how other families work, but in ours, cousins are almost as equally close and important as siblings.  I freaking love them!  Are you close with your cousins?  So, if you want to see the cool creations I made in their honor...click on through!

SindiePop! - Mystery Gang Collection

Zoinks!  These polishes are awesome, Scoobs!

Today I have swatches from the Mystery Gang collection from SindiePop! Cosmetics.   This group of 5 polishes (1 crelly and 4 glitter toppers) is inspired by the loveable Scooby Doo characters.  One things I love about Jessica's polishes, is her great color combinations.  She really knows how to make contrasting but complimentary combinations.  This is an older collection but I am sure it will be around for a while.

Let's start with my favorite glitter topper of the bunch, Danger Prone Daphne.  I used 2 coats over Orly Boho Bonnet and Ulta Cream of the Crop.  I tested this glitter over several colors and they all looked great!  The periwinkle blue glitters are a great contrast to the other jewel toned glitters.

SindiePop! - Mystery Gang - Danget Prone Daphne

Up next is Jinkie!, a red, orange, purple and black glitter topper.  Velma is the inspiration behind this polish.  I used 1.5 coats over OPI Love Angel Music Baby and China Glaze Grape Pop.  I really like red and purple together!

SindiePop! - Mystery Gang - Jinkies!

Scooby Dooby Doo is next!  This was another great glitter topper that went well over many different colors.  I used 1 coat over OPI Amazon-Amazoff and China Glaze At Vase Value.  The color of these glitter is a perfect match of Scooby Doo's colors: gold, blue, black and caramel.

SindiePop! - Mystery Gang - Scooby Dooby Doo

Next up is a glitter topper called Zoinks! which is inspired by the infamous Shaggy.  I used 1.5 coats over OPI Fly and Zoya Louise with an accent nail of some tiny watch parts from WatchThisWatchThat.  There are some pale green glitters in this mix that my photos were not showcasing well.

SindiePop! - Mystery Gang - Zoinks!

The only crelly in this collection is Team Daphne.   Inspired by Fred, this is a white crelly with orange, blue and white glitters.  I used two coats with an accent nail of OPI MBSW and a Big Ruby nail tattoo.  I love this color combo (it must be the Gator girl in me!)

I hope you enjoyed these watches.  The glitter combinations in these polishes really match the characters they were inspired by.  Who is your favorite Scooby Doo character?
