In today’s video, I show you 3 of my favorite banded abs exercises using my Evolve Over Pull Up Bar right from home. These “Banded Anti-Rotation Presses” (or sometimes called Paloff Presses) train your core muscles in much the same way as a side plank… without the frustration of being down on the floor with all that pressure on your shoulder 😏 

Here are some tips to think about: 

👍 Keep knees slightly bent with pelvis level

👍 Make sure your neck stays relaxed (not shrugging!) throughout the exercise

👍 Pause & exhale to really engage your core when your arms are extended

You’ll probably feel your abdominal muscles and your outer glutes working hard here to keep your body facing straight. 

Do 8-10 presses per side, then switch sides.

These are double banded multi-muscle movers and pack a lot in a little bit of time. 💪✨ It’s not about the intensity, but the INTENTION. #MindfulMamaMovements There’s a lot we can do with MINIMAL EQUIPMENT to keep it interesting AND still honor our bodies!

Here’s an ab routine you can do with bands. Add more resistance and tension to strengthen your stabilizer muscles and center core! Also great to just have some variety in your workouts to keep it fun🙌

3-4 sets of 8-12 reps per exercise

Yes…glutes. Why? 💥Because your glutes are a MAJOR part of your core!!!💥 

If you don’t include your glutes in your core training and only target your abs, you’ll be left wondering why your hip flexors hurt, your back hurts, and your core just isn’t doing what it should be doing. 🤷‍♀️😩
