The 2025 program offers new topics, speakers, and special wellness events, and will provide a weekend of information, inspiration, and connection. Attendees will learn from medical and wellness experts, share experiences, and leave feeling empowered to make informed decisions about their care.

As always, this year’s conference was designed with the help of a committee of women diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to ensure each session and event addresses the needs of people living with the disease.

For those who are unable to attend in-person, our keynote sessions will be available via livestream. Registration for the livestream option will open in January 2025.

Our Conference on Metastatic Breast Cancer has provided people living with metastatic breast cancer and their caregivers with a safe, collaborative space to gather information and discover practical resources for 19 years.

Why should you attend?

We are excited to welcome attendees to Philadelphia for a weekend of information, inspiration, and connection. This year’s program will empower you with knowledge and provide practical tips to help inform your decision-making, while connecting you with a community that understands, supports, and thrives together. Here’s what you can expect from this year’s conference:

  • Interactive wellness events, including yoga, meditation, and a chance to try out our BeACTive workouts live.
  • More keynote sessions, including topics such as insurance and personalized medicine in MBC, addressing disparities, managing side effects, the shared voices panel featuring others living with metastatic breast cancer, and more!
  • A broad exhibit hall, featuring resources, exhibitors, products, and services that support individuals and families impacted by metastatic breast cancer.
  • Opportunities to build your community of support by sharing stories, exchanging coping strategies, and connecting with others who understand the unique challenges of thriving with metastatic breast cancer.

Kesem: One-day program for children

New this year: Kesem will host a one-day program for children during this year’s conference. The program will provide a safe space for kids to connect with their peers, participate in games and craft activities, and explore a local attraction. Learn more here.

Connecting with others who share your experiences can boost your mood and relieve stress. Hosted by a fellow caregiver, join the caregiver meetup to share stories and make connections as the conference kicks off. An optional ice-breaker activity will be held to assist in getting to know each other.

For all conference attendees!

Attend this special get-together to meet other attendees, hear about conference highlights, and learn how to stay connected throughout the weekend. Your hosts are LBBC’s Hear My Voice volunteers, our leadership corps of people living with metastatic breast cancer. You will be welcomed by peers who were once new to this conference and now give back by advocating and sharing their own experiences living with mets. Hear My Voice volunteers will also facilitate an optional ice-breaker activity to get the socializing going.

Get to know your fellow attendees better at this plated dinner and dessert. During dinner, hear from people living long-term with metastatic breast cancer in a special keynote session.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with metastatic breast cancer for a while, join us as we kick off this year’s conference.

After a day of travel and excitement, join us for this gentle yoga class and meditation. Through gentle yoga movement you will relax your body, then end your day with a short meditation to support a restful night before the weekend.

Integrative oncology: Empowering your treatment journey

Integrative oncology is a holistic approach to cancer care, combining conventional treatments like chemotherapy and surgery with complementary therapies such as acupuncture, yoga, mindfulness, art therapy, and journaling, to name a few. Integrative oncology empowers patients, giving them a sense of control over their treatment journey while supporting mental resilience and physical health.
