βοΈοΉ The hype surrounding this book is justified. I get it now. My head is still spinning from this rollercoaster ride. I stayed up until 4am to finish it which I rarely do anymore, I couldnβt put it down, it had me in such a chokehold. Even though I was able to guess a few of the twists, First Lie Wins still kept me on my feet. This was a thriller that actually lived up to its genre & thrilled me. My only teeny, tiny complaint is that Devon was a little too much of a tech genius. He was able to help Evie do nearly impossible things like setting so many traps/getting all info in such a short amount of time. And even getting her a dead body at one point? I mean, come on, who is this guy & where did she find him? π Speaking of Devon, I really enjoyed all the characters in this book, from our anti hero, Evie, her partner in crime (the aforementioned Devon), & her βmarkβ Ryan. This book has all the ingredients for a fun, fast paced, heart pounding, thriller with a love story thrown in that doesnβt steer away from the main plot.
