it was amazing

LOVED this! We have been waiting so long to learn all about the mysterious Twilight/ Isaac and it was totally worth the wait!!

The meet cute in this book was sexy and hilarious and frustrating. It definitely put both characters outside their comfort zones and it was so fun to look back at once you got more context.

Isaac was such a surprise. He has been this puzzling, unknowable character for so long, it was wonderful to get to understand him. I loved seeing the flickers of insecurity and innocence in an otherwise stoic character.

Hannah was everything I appreciate in a strong and capable heroine and you cannot help but love her. She has been able to accomplish so much just through sheer will and hard work, with so many obstacles stacked against her. Watching her thrive in a job where she is using all her talents was so fulfilling.

Both of these characters had difficult back stories, but Isaac’s was more of a surprise. We knew Isaac’s dad was a bad guy from his sister, Jennifer’s, story but I hate him even more now.

I feel like I need to give a shout out to the unsung heroes of this story, Tina and Hank. Tina for being such a mentor to Isaac over the years and to Hank for helping Isaac really see Hannah, in more than one way (tee hee)

I cannot recommend this one enough and I loved that we got such a satisfying ending!!

I feel like this could be read as a standalone. I mean, you would totally get the storyline and enjoy the romance, but I do think you’d be missing out on nuances that really allow you to savor Hannah and Isaac’s story. I would totally recommend reading this after the Winston Brother’s series and the first two books in this one to get the biggest impact.
